Abstract: A buoyancy assist tool has an outer case and a sleeve disposed in the outer case. The sleeve is movable from first to second positions in the outer case. A permeable membrane is attached to the movable sleeve at a lower end thereof. A rupture disk is mounted in the outer case. Fluid flow through the permeable membrane detaches the sleeve from the outer case and moves the sleeve from the first to the second position. In the second position, the sleeve creates an open bore for the passage of downhole tools therethrough.

The device body may include a power supply and an electrical heater connected to the power supply. The cartridge contains an aerosol-forming substrate in the form of a thermoreversible gel that is a solid at room temperature.

Abstract: A rotary steerable tool for directional drilling includes a tool body including a flowbore for flowing pressurized fluid therethrough and a plurality of extendable members movably coupled to the tool body for selectively engaging a borehole wall, each extendable member including a piston for moving the extendable member to an extended position. The tool further includes a pressurized fluid supply flow path to provide fluid pressure from the flowbore to the pistons, and a plurality of linear actuators, each independently actuatable to control fluid pressure from the pressurized fluid supply flow path to a respective piston.

Abstract: A magnetic drum separator is provided. The drum separator includes a drum and a pulley arrangement that rotates the drum. The drum separator includes an end plate coupled to the drive assembly, and the drive assembly rotates the end plate with the drum. The end plate includes a radially oriented slot. A plurality of magnets is disposed in the drum, and the magnets are attached to the end plates and rotatable with the drum. A cam assembly is disposed in the drum and remains stationary during rotation of the drum. The cam assembly includes a cam with a cam track formed therein. The magnets have a cam follower located in the cam track and an end plate follower located in the slot of the end plate. The cam track and the radially oriented slot guide the plurality of magnets to move radially inwards and outwards as the magnets rotate.

Abstract: A system and method may determine the carbon emissions risk to an institution through its lending and investment activities to a plurality of counterparties by, for example, determining carbon emissions data for a number of counterparties and, for each counterparty, determining the carbon emissions risk to the institution. A system and method may determine the proportion of total capital of a counterparty that is being financed by a bank, and multiply this by a carbon emissions measure for the counterparty. Embodiments may be applied to determine optimal investment strategies for managing an institution's exposures to carbon risk over time.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium (collectively, the “system”) is disclosed for generating real-time insights from a big data storage platform. The system may process transaction data stored in a big data management system (BDMS) to generate characteristic data associated with a plurality of demographics. The system may also model an account associated with a corporate ID to identify a demographic from the plurality of demographics associated with the corporate ID. The system may further compare the user data associated with the corporate ID to the characteristic data of the demographic associated with the corporate ID to generate a view responsive to a request. The system may also transmit the view in response to the request, for example, to an interface for use by a program administrator.

The device may store the first image in a data structure associated with the first user account data. In addition, the device may receive data indicating that an individual associated with a second user account accessed the secure storage container, and receive a second image depicting contents included in the secure storage container at a second point in time. The second image may be stored in the data structure. The device may further receive, from a user device associated with the first user account data, a request to access the data structure, and the device may provide, to the user device, data that causes display of the second image.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are method of producing NK cells that include one or more heterologous nucleic acids. The methods include culturing a population of isolated NK cells in the presence of one or more cytokines to produce a population of activated NK cells. The population of activated NK cells are transduced with a viral vector comprising the one or more heterologous nucleic acids, for example by contacting the activated NK cells with viral particles including the viral vector. The resulting transduced NK cells are then cultured in the presence of one or more cytokines, and optionally in the presence of irradiated feeder cells, to produce a population of expanded transduced NK cells. Also disclosed are methods of treating a subject with a disorder (such as a tumor or hyperproliferative disorder) by administering to the subject NK cells produced by the methods described herein.

Abstract: Most of the prior art references that generate animations fail to determine and consider head movement data. The prior art references which consider the head movement data for generating the animations rely on a sample video to generate/determine the head movements data, which, as a result, fail to capture changing head motions throughout course of a speech given by a subject in an actual whole length video. The disclosure herein generally relates to generating facial animations, and, more particularly, to a method and system for generating the facial animations from speech signal of a subject. The system determines the head movement, lip movements, and eyeball movements, of the subject, by processing a speech signal collected as input, and uses the head movement, lip movements, and eyeball movements, to generate an animation.

The isolation ring directly engages the crystal and the mount. The method of acoustic logging comprises receiving an acoustic signal using an acoustic receiver, which comprises a cylindrical piezoelectric crystal coupled to a mount without an adhesive material. The method also comprises converting the acoustic signal into an electrical signal by the cylindrical piezoelectric crystal and transmitting the electrical signal to a processor via a conductor coupled to the cylindrical piezoelectric crystal.

Abstract: A system for controlling power in a facility having an electrical system including an energy storage device and a generator and an associated fuel tank. The fuel tank provides fuel to the generator and has a gauge indicating remaining fuel. Both the energy storage device and the generator operate. The generator may be used to provide power to the facility, the energy storage device, or both simultaneously. A first power consuming device imposes a first load connected to the electrical system and second power consuming device imposes a second load connected to the electrical system. The system receives information related to the loads and calculates an initial estimated run time of the energy storage device, and information related to the first load and information related to the second load. The system selectively removes the second load in a simulation and calculates a second run time of the energy storage device.

Abstract: Techniques are described for dynamically determining the flow of screens to be presented in a user interface (UI) of an application executing on a computing device, based at least partly on a detected presence of a user device (e.g., a portable computing device) in a particular geographic area. Area designation data is transmitted to, and stored on, a user device. The area designation data can describe a geofenced area and/or beacon signals. In response to determining that the user device is in the geographic area indicated by the area designation data, the user device may transmit an alert signal that causes an interface flow to be dynamically determined and executed for an application executing on the computing device that is separate from the user device.

A method can comprise receiving, from a user equipment device, via a radio access technology, a first message representative of a request for measurement gap information for a location based service; determining a location of the user equipment device based on a serving cell location of a serving cell device that services the user equipment device; and transmitting, to the user equipment device, a second message comprising data representative of the measurement gap information.
