Abstract: A method of preparing a hydroxytyrosol sturgeon skin gelatin film with antioxidant activity and Salmonella detection ability includes: (1) mixing a neutral red indicator solution and distilled water at room temperature to obtain a mixture solution, and adding 1 mol/L NaHCO3 solution to the mixture solution until discoloration to obtain an alkaline solution; (2) adding an amount of the alkaline solution obtained in step (1) to a mixture of Sturgeon skin gelatin and distilled water to obtain an alkaline gelatin solution; (3) adding hydroxytyrol and glycerin and propylene glycol to the alkaline gelatin solution to obtain a hydroxytyrol gelatin solution, and heating the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution at 40-70° C.; (4) ultrasonicating the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution from step (3), placing the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution evenly on a clean plexiglass plate, drying the hydroxytyrol gelatin solution on an ultra-clean worktable to obtain the hydroxytyrosol sturgeon skin gelatin film.

Abstract: A method of preparing an aesculin sturgeon skin gelatin with antioxidant activity and Enterococcus faecalis detection ability includes: 1) mixing a sturgeon skin gelatin and distilled water in a ratio of 1:15-1:25 (w/v) at 50-70° C. and filtering to obtain a sturgeon skin gelatin solution; 2) adding aesculin and a glycerin solution to the sturgeon skin gelatin solution, stirring the resulted sturgeon skin gelatin solution at 30-50° C. for 30 minutes, and filtering; and 3) removing air bubbles from the sturgeon skin gelatin solution of step 2) under reduced pressure, placing the sturgeon skin gelatin solution on an acrylic glass, and drying the sturgeon skin gelatin solution at in a vented oven 25° C. and 45-55% relative humidity for 24 hours to obtain the aesculin sturgeon skin gelatin film.
