  • Patent number: 7663591
Abstract: A display device is made up of (i) a source driver made up of source driver ICs each driving an identical number of data signal lines, the source driver ICs being grouped into at least a first individually-driven circuit group and a second individually-driven circuit group, and (ii) a control circuit that outputs a first start pulse and a first latch pulse for controlling the first individually-driven circuit group and a second start pulse and a second latch pulse for the second individually-driven circuit group. With this, it is possible to provide the display device that can reproduce images without adopting complicated circuitry and elongating one horizontal period, when the source driver has dummy signal lines.

  • Patent number: 7664145
Abstract: When a beacon (n?1) that is transmitted from a piconet coordinator (PNC) is detected in a MAC layer of the PNC and a MAC layer of a device (DEV), a detection signal is immediately transmitted to a LINK layer. In the LINK layer, a count is made from the detection of the beacon to a predetermined timing to generate a cycle timer. The PNC adds the PNC cycle timer to the subsequent beacon (n) and transmits the beacon to the DEV. In the LINK layer of the DEV, a comparison is made between a DEV cycle timer generated according to the beacon (n?1) and the PNC cycle timer received from the PNC and uses the value of the difference therebetween to correct the DEV cycle timer to be matched with the PNC cycle timer.

  • Patent number: 7664417
Abstract: A fixing apparatus and an image forming apparatus of the present invention are arranged so that a fixing control section causes a fixing roller to additionally rotate so that the additional rotation corresponds to a driving delay time also after turning OFF an external heating roller heater when shifting from a temperature raising step in which surface temperature of the fixing roller is raised so as to be equal to a preset fixing temperature to a standby mode and when turning OFF the external heating roller heater and stopping the fixing roller. As a result, it is possible to provide a fixing apparatus and an image forming apparatus in which a surface of a fixing roller is free from deterioration or breakage caused by local heating carried out by an external heating roller.

  • Patent number: 7663613
Abstract: An occupying area of a digital system signal line driver circuit in an image display device is large and this hinders the miniaturization of the display device. A memory circuit and a D/A converter circuit in the signal line driver circuit are commonly used for n (“n” is a natural number equal to or larger than 2) signal lines. One horizontal scanning period is divided into n periods and the memory circuit and the D/A converter circuit each perform processing for different signal lines during each of the divided periods. Thus, all the signal lines can be driven. Therefore, the number of memory circuits and the number of D/A converter circuits in the signal line driver circuit can be reduced to one n-th in a conventional case.

  • Publication number: 20100033458
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a capacitor is provided between a node and a negative-side input terminal of a differential amplifier. A switch SW11 is provided between the negative-side input terminal and an output terminal of the differential amplifier. A switch SW12 is provided between the node and the output terminal of the differential amplifier. Switches SW13 to SW16 are provided for switching between a voltage of the node and a positive-side input voltage of the differential amplifier. The switches SW11 and SW12 are on during different periods. In a positive polarity mode, the switches SW13 and SW16 are when the switch SW11 is on while the switch SW16 is on when the switch SW12 is on. In a negative polarity mode, the switches SW14 and SW15 are on when the switch SW11 is on while the switch SW16 is on when the switch SW12 is on. Thus, two types of gradation voltages each required for AC drive of a liquid crystal can be generated with a small circuit scale.

  • Publication number: 20100035438
Abstract: An interlayer insulating film is formed on a semiconductor substrate having a semiconductor element formed thereon. At this time, there are protrusions higher than surroundings thereof and non-protruding portions lower than the protrusions on the surface of the interlayer insulating film. First, a first polishing process is carried out on the surface of the interlayer insulating film with use of a first abrasive having non-Prestonian properties produced by mixing abrasive materials including abrasive grains, a polymer additive and water at a predetermined first mixture ratio. Then, after the first abrasive process shifts to an automatically stopping state, a second polishing process is carried out on the surface of the interlayer insulating film with use of a second abrasive having the concentration of polymer additive lower than that of the first abrasive and produced by mixing the abrasive materials at a second mixture ratio different from the first mixture ratio.

  • Patent number: 7659986
Abstract: In a smoke sensor, a first light-receiving element which receives light from a light-emitting element and is disposed in a position where the quantity of received light changes according to a density of smoke and a second light-receiving element which monitors the quantity of light of the light-emitting element are arranged symmetrically with respect to the light-emitting element. Furthermore, a signal from the first light-receiving element and a signal from the second light-receiving element are amplified by an identical amplifier circuit. In a microcomputer, the density of smoke is computed based on a difference between an output obtained by amplifying an output of the first light-receiving element with the amplifier circuit and an output obtained by amplifying an output of the second light-receiving element with the amplifier circuit.
