Abstract: In a communication system in which a plurality base station apparatuses are arranged such that the entirety or part of cells of the plurality of base station apparatuses overlaps with one another, a master base station apparatus calculates transmission weighting coefficients of the base station apparatuses and reception weighting coefficients of mobile station apparatuses such that directions of equivalent channels of interference signals received by the mobile station apparatuses connected to the base station apparatuses become orthogonal to the reception weighting coefficients by which the mobile station apparatuses multiply their respective reception signals. The base station apparatuses transmit the reception weighting coefficients to the mobile station apparatuses connected thereto, and the mobile station apparatuses perform a reception process by multiplying their respective reception signals including the interference signals by the reception weighting coefficients.

Abstract: A method for decoding video includes receiving a frame of the video that includes at least one slice and at least one tile. Each of the at least one slice and the at least one tile are not all aligned with one another. Each of the at least one slice is characterized that it is decoded independently of the other the at least one slice. Each of the at least one tile is characterized that it is a rectangular region of the frame and having coding units for the decoding arranged in a raster scan order. The at least one tile of the frame are collectively arranged in a raster scan order of the frame.
Abstract: An electronic whiteboard and a touch screen method for configuring and applying metadata tags on an electronic whiteboard allows user-defined and user-classified metadata tags to be configured and applied to objects “on the fly” through touch screen inputs on the electronic whiteboard, providing object tagging in electronic whiteboard sessions that is less cumbersome, less disruptive to creative flow and more precise than conventional methods.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a transfer belt that is stretched over a plurality of rollers to be circumferentially moved, a transfer roller, a transfer power supply, etc., and transfers a toner image formed on an image carrying member to a recording medium using the transfer belt. The image forming apparatus includes a transfer current control unit that measures a use situation of the transfer belt and controls a transfer current to be supplied to the transfer roller based on the use situation. Since re-transfer of a toner is prevented by controlling the transfer current that flows into the transfer roller based on the use situation of the transfer belt, it is possible to prevent, without extending preliminary operation time of the transfer belt, a poor image due to a contact trace that occurs on the transfer belt.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured to be capable of being remotely operated by a terminal device via a wireless communication line. The image processing apparatus is equipped with a body control unit, a LAN interface, and a body operation unit. The body operation unit is capable of displaying a plurality of operation keys and capable of receiving a touch operation with respect to each of the plurality of operation keys. The LAN interface is used in order to acquire a positional relationship between the terminal device and the image processing apparatus. The body control unit, when determining that the terminal device is located close to the image processing apparatus, disables a touch operation with respect to a specific operation key among the plurality of operation keys on the body operation unit.
