  • Patent number: 9215353
Abstract: A three-dimensional noise reduction processing unit perform as a recursive noise reduction process to an input image X(n), using a motion vector MV detected by a motion vector detecting unit. A three-dimensional noise reduced image B(n) is output as a corrected original image Y(n). A two-dimensional noise reduction filter processing unit applies a two-dimensional noise reduction filter to the input image X(n). Using the motion vector MV, an interpolated image generating unit generates an interpolated image Y(n+0.5) based on a two-dimensional noise reduced image A(n). Significant degradation of an interpolated image due to false detection of a motion vector is prevented by generating the interpolated image based on the image resulted without performing the recursive noise reduction process.

  • Patent number: 9213815
Abstract: A user authentication device provided on an apparatus as an object of operation acquires feature data representing notable portion of the user, using a camera device, after user authentication. Based on the acquired feature data, the user authentication device tracks the user by the camera (step S1030). If it is detected by the tracking that the user has left the apparatus, the user authentication device displays a log-in screen image on an operation panel (step S1060). If it is detected that the user once left the apparatus has returned to a position where he/she can operate the apparatus, the user authentication device displays the screen image that has been previously operated by the user. On the other hand, if it is detected that the tracking has been interrupted after the user left the apparatus, the user authentication device executes a log-out process (step S1120).

  • Patent number: 9214117
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to reduce noise during three-dimensional display without increasing memory capacity in a liquid crystal display apparatus capable of displaying an image in two display modes of a 2D mode (two-dimensional display) and a 3D mode (three-dimensional display). In an SDRAM as a volatile memory provided in a timing controller IC, data necessary for a correcting process to an input image signal is stored as follows. Overdrive data is compressed at a relatively high compression degree in the 2D mode and is compressed at a relatively low compression degree in the 3D mode, and the compressed data is stored into the SDRAM. Display unevenness correction data is compressed at a relatively low compression degree in the 2D mode and is compressed at a relatively high compression degree in the 3D mode, and the compressed data is stored into the SDRAM.

  • Patent number: 9213518
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes display panels included in each of an operation unit 130 and a display unit 136, and a control unit causing the two display panels to successively make transitions to a power save mode if a prescribed time period has passed without any operation to the operation unit 130. If priority is given to the operation, the control unit first causes the display panel of display unit 136 to make a transition to the power save mode, and thereafter causes the display panel of the operation unit 130 to the power save mode. If the priority is given to the display, the control unit causes the display panel of operation unit 130 to make a transition to the power save mode, and thereafter causes the display panel of display unit 136 to make a transition to the power save mode. Thus, wasteful power consumption by the two display panels can be reduced.
