  • Patent number: 9195175
Abstract: A Transfer device (10) includes an intermediate transfer belt (41), a plurality of intermediate transfer roller (34A-34D) and a transfer member moving mechanism (20). The transfer member moving mechanism moves the intermediate transfer rollers (34A-34D) between pressing positions causing the intermediate transfer belt (41) to be pressed against respective photoreceptor drums (31A-31D) and separate positions causing the intermediate transfer belt (41) to be separate from the respective photoreceptor drums (31A-31D). The transfer member moving mechanism (20) causes a second pressing position of the intermediate transfer roller for monochrome (34A) in monochromatic image forming to be different from a first pressing position of the intermediate transfer roller for monochrome (34A) in full-color image forming so that an amount of pressing of the intermediate transfer belt (41) by the intermediate transfer roller for monochrome (34A) becomes greater in monochromatic image forming than in full-color image forming.

  • Patent number: 9198299
Abstract: A method is provided for repairing defects in a contact printed circuit. The method provides a substrate with a contact printed circuit formed on a substrate top surface. After detecting a discontinuity in a printed circuit feature, a bias voltage is applied to at least one of a first region of the printed circuit feature or a second region of the printed circuit feature. The bias voltage may also be applied to both the first and second regions. An electric field is formed between the bias voltage and an ink delivery nozzle having a voltage potential less than the bias voltage. Conductive ink is attracted into the electric field from the ink delivery nozzle. Conductive ink is printed on the discontinuity, forming a conductive printed bridge. Typically, the ink delivery nozzle is an electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing nozzle.

  • Patent number: 9196206
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, each pixel includes first and second subpixels. CS bus lines connected to the respective storage capacitors of the first and second subpixels are electrically independent of each other. A CS voltage has a waveform that inverts its polarity at least once a frame, which includes a first subframe for sequentially scanning a series of odd rows and a second SF for sequentially scanning even rows that have been skipped during the first SF. A source signal voltage varies so as to have two frames or subframes with mutually opposite polarities. A CS voltage has a waveform that has quite opposite consequences on the effective voltage of a subpixel of a pixel connected to the jth scan line to be selected during the first subframe and on that of another subpixel of a pixel connected to the (j+1)th scan line to be selected during the second subframe.

  • Patent number: 9196205
Abstract: This liquid crystal display device allows outputs from RS-FF circuits (401 to 409) and switch circuits (411 to 419), which function as a shift register, to be provided as scanning signals that are selectively activated during odd and even scanning line selection periods, by simply changing the potential of an enable signal (EN) (i.e., by simply providing an EN signal line), which achieves interlacing drive that allows a reduction in the number of polarity inversions, thereby making it possible to reduce power consumption and a wiring area for control lines and achieve simple control which allows circuit simplification, resulting in a reduced frame area and a display panel which is compact as a whole.

  • Patent number: 9195104
Abstract: A liquid crystal panel (2) is a vertical alignment type liquid crystal panel using a horizontal electric field driving system which performs display by driving a liquid crystal layer (50) interposed between substrates (10, 20) in a horizontal electric field, each pixel includes three sub-pixels (6R, 6G, and 6B), which are of red, green, and blue, comb-shaped electrodes (14, 15) include a function as a diffraction grating with the comb-shaped electrodes (14, 15) and spaces between the comb-shaped electrodes (14, 15), and pitch distances (D) between electrodes are set such that an optical diffraction efficiency for red wavelength and an optical diffraction efficiency for green wavelength are greater than an optical diffraction efficiency for blue wavelength. Thus, it is possible to provide a liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display apparatus having a wide viewing angle with less color change with a simple configuration.
