  • Patent number: 8798015
Abstract: Due to NACK-to-ACK misinterpretations in base stations, packets are lost, and there may be gaps in a re-ordering buffer of a base station. According to the present invention, when the receiver decodes—possibly after some retransmissions—a first data packet without an error, which first data packet is sent along with an indicator indicating that the first data packet is a new data packet, after the receiver has sent a negative confirmation message (NACK) with respect to a second data packet, the receiver sends a Revert (REV) message to the transmitter. The REV message informs the base station that the first data packet was decoded error-free, and that the second data packet is still missing on the receiving side so that the base station may re-send this second data packet.

  • Patent number: 8794180
Abstract: An ejection device in which a multi-nozzle mechanism including failure nozzles ejects droplets such that variation in amounts of droplets (spacers) is prevented and droplets are disposed on spacer regions of a substrate. An ejection device includes a multi-nozzle mechanism including a pair of nozzle row units prepared by equally dividing a nozzle row including a plurality of nozzles ejecting a spacer dispersion liquid, a moving mechanism relatively moving the multi-nozzle mechanism and a substrate in the longitudinal direction and the align direction of spacer regions, and a control mechanism controlling the nozzles and the moving mechanism. When one nozzle row unit includes a failure nozzle, the control mechanism gives a command to the failure nozzle not to eject the liquid and a command to a corresponding nozzle of the other unit to halve cycles of forward and backward paths.

  • Publication number: 20140211111
Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to achieve a manufacturing method that, in a capacitive touch panel, prevents the occurrence of residue in an electrode film caused by an etching defect for a touch panel in which electrode patterns are difficult to recognize. The manufacturing method for the touch panel includes: an electrode formation step for forming, upon an insulating substrate (10), first electrodes (11) and second electrodes (12) that extend in mutually intersecting directions; an insulating film formation step for forming insulating films (16) which cover portions of the insulating substrate (10), the first electrodes (11), and the second electrodes (12); and a bridge formation step for forming bridges (17) that connect neighboring second electrodes (12) together over the insulating films (16). In addition, before the bridge formation step, a surface treatment step for etching the surface of the first electrodes (11) and the second electrodes (12) is performed one or more times.

  • Publication number: 20140212047
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are related to systems, methods and apparatus for determining the orientation of a text line or a page in a document image. According to a first aspect of the present invention, an image of text blobs may be generated from a text mask associated with a document image. From the text-blob image, pixel-wise horizontal differences may be accumulated and compared to accumulated pixel-wise vertical differences. Text line orientation may be determined as horizontal when the accumulated pixel-wise horizontal differences are less than the accumulated pixel-wise vertical differences. According to a second aspect of the present invention, page orientation may be determined by reconciling an estimated text-line orientation with document language information.
