  • Patent number: 8599669
Abstract: Recording mark forming method utilizing a device including a laser and a laser drive carried by a pickup having a movement drive wherein a control controls the drives to irradiate a recording medium with laser pulse sequences to form recording marks having recording mark lengths between a predetermined and maximum lengths, a top section, a last section including a cooling period, and an intermediate period. Heat of mark front edges is controlled by top section recording parameters classified according to recording mark lengths and recording parameters of first through maximum recording mark lengths are classified into a same group. Heat of mark rear edges is controlled by cooling start positions for cooling periods classified according to recording mark lengths. Cooling start positions for a second predetermined mark length through the maximum mark length are classified into a same group. The second mark length is longer than the first mark length.

  • Patent number: 8600268
Abstract: A developing device for an image forming apparatus includes a partition member for partitioning an internal space of the developing device into a first carrying and second carrying paths, and a sliding member provided adjacent a developing roller and having an inclined planar surface. Residual developer collected from a surface of the developing roller slides along the inclined planar surface of the sliding member toward the first carrying path P, and the developer hits an inclined carrying surface of the partition member. A first portion of the developer slides along the carrying surface of the partition member and falls into the second carrying path. An opening in the carrying surface of the partition member allows a second portion of the developer to pass through the partition member and into the first carrying path.

  • Patent number: 8599919
Abstract: An image quality/rate control portion 106 confirms whether a predictive code amount Ci is a target code amount Rt or less. When the predictive code amount Ci is the target code amount Rt or less, the predictive code amount Ci is output to a base layer coding portion 101. Then, a switch 108 is turned off. When the predictive code amount Ci exceeds the target code amount Rt, the target code amount Rt is output to the base layer coding portion 101. Then, the switch 108 is turned on and (predictive code amount Ci?target code amount Rt) is output to an enhancement layer coding portion 103. A buffer 104 stores coded data of the base layer coding portion 101 and the enhancement layer coding portion 103. In this manner, while performing fixed bit rate coding using a single transmission path, image quality of a moving image is made constant so as to prevent deterioration of image quality.

  • Patent number: 8599415
Abstract: An information processing system including a multifunction peripheral for reading a document according to a profile set by a user. A host server stores the profile and a management section registers and deletes the profile. An information processing terminal has a setting processing section for providing the profile being set by the user to the management section. The storage section preliminarily stores an identification code for management. The setting processing section acquires an identification code for determination and provides that code to the management section prior to profile registration. The management section compares the identification code for determination with the identification code for management to register the profile provided by the information processing terminal without a time limit when the codes match or register the profile with a time limit when the codes do not match to delete the profile when the time limit elapses.

  • Patent number: 8599441
Abstract: A fax machine includes a setting recorder, a communication device, a remainder calculator, a determination device, and a controller. The setting recorder holds setting information on a fax transmission job. The communication device performs the transmission job based on the held setting information. The remainder calculator calculates the number of sheets which can be faxed further for the transmission job by the fax machine. When the transmission job stops, the determination device determines, based on the calculated number of sheets, whether the job is completed. If the determination device determines, when the transmission job stops, that the transmission job is completed, the controller clears the setting recorder. If the determination device determines, when the transmission job stops, that the transmission job is not completed, the controller does not clear the setting recorder.

  • Publication number: 20130315130
Abstract: With an MBMS bearer service, information about an MBMS bearer which allocates and establishes MBMS bearer resources is included in an MBMS bearer context, with a base station device (NB) transmitting a confirmation message containing a service identifier to mobile station devices (UE) and, based on responses from the mobile station devices (UE), counting the number of mobile station devices (UE) participating in multicast data distribution. In the event that the number counted is 0, an MBMS registration deletion request for the multicast data is transmitted to an SGSN. Thus, by stipulating a control method using the counting function of the base station device to efficiently allocate network resources, a mobile communication system or the like capable of effectively using the network resources can be provided.

Abstract: In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal receives a selection of an image data among plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the mobile terminal, and prints an image based on the selected image data. A communication between the mobile terminal and the image forming apparatus is performed wirelessly with an IEEE 802.11 standard. The image forming apparatus rejects a connection establishment request from another mobile terminal except for the mobile terminal, when the wireless communication with the mobile terminal is established.

  • Publication number: 20130314618
Abstract: In driving a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display device of the present invention, when voltage applied to a gate line G1 is lowered to switch off a pixel P1, voltage applied to a gate line G2 and a gate line G3 rises to switch on a pixel P2 and a pixel P3. In such a case, timing t1 at which the voltage applied to the gate line G1 drops is set to be different from timing t3 at which the voltage applied to the gate lines G2, G3 rises. According to the driving method, ripples each having amplitude Vu1 and Vd1 that are generated in the storage capacitor line CS1 are less likely to be cancel out and attenuated. This improves display quality.
