Abstract: A wireless communication system broadcasts a control signal at a first frequency band from a base station and allocates additional frequency band(s) for transmitting data by terminal(s). A control signal at the first frequency band indicates the location of the additional frequency band(s) and is not transmitted over the additional frequency band(s). Wireless data transmission is simultaneously performed over the first frequency band and the additional frequency band(s). Each terminal receives the control signal, which is used in time-synchronizing frames between the wireless data transmission at the first frequency band and the wireless data transmission at the additional frequency band(s). The control signal also includes control data for managing wireless data transmission of the terminal(s) at the first frequency band, and is utilized instead of a control signal at the additional frequency band(s).
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are related to systems and methods for correcting illumination and vignette in a camera-captured document image. A background type may be detected from down-sampled luminance image associated with the camera-captured image, and model parameters may be estimated for a morphologically filtered version of the down-sampled luminance image, wherein the morphological filter may be based on the detected background type. The model parameters may be verified and if deemed acceptable, a rectified image may be formed.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device (100) according to the present invention includes pixels (P1) and (P2), each of which includes three subpixels (R1, G1, B1) and (R2, G2, B2). When the input signal indicates that a chromatic color should be represented, one of the subpixels (B1 and B2) is turned ON and at least one of the subpixels (R1, R2, G1 and G2) is turned ON, too. If the average luminance of the subpixels (B1 and B2) in a situation where the input signal indicates that the chromatic color should be represented is substantially equal to that of the subpixels (B1 and B2) in another situation where the input signal indicates that an achromatic color should be represented, the luminances of those subpixels (B1 and B2) in the former situation are different from those of the subpixels (B1 and B2) in the latter situation.

Abstract: On a surface of a substrate (3) on which surface a vapor-deposited film is to be formed, a photoresist (13) is formed so as to have an opening in a sealing region including a display region (R1) which sealing region is formed by a sealing resin (11) of a frame shape. Then, luminescent layers (8R, 8G, and 8B) having a striped pattern are formed. Subsequently, the photoresist (13) is removed with the use of an exfoliative solution so as to form the luminescent layers (8R, 8G, and 8B) patterned with high definition.

Abstract: A histogram generation portion calculates a prescribed feature value of a pixel and the maximum feature value for the pixel, for each pixel of one frame of an input video signal. Then, the ratio of the feature value of the pixel to the maximum feature value is calculated for each pixel as an index of color brightness, and a histogram generated wherein the numbers of pixels are integrated by index value. An enhancement processing portion applies gain and carries out an enhancement for pixel values wherein the index in the histogram which the histogram generation portion generates is greater than or equal to a prescribed threshold. The feature value is treated as a luminosity (L*) which is defined with CIELAB chroma space. Additionally, the feature value may be data which has the maximum tone value among pixel RGB data, or may be a luminosity value (Y) of the pixel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for triggering aperiodic Channel State Information (CSI) feedback used in a multiple coordinated cells multiple component carriers system. According to the present disclosure, a base station firstly semi-statically configures a user equipment to CoMP transmission modes, and/or information on measurement cells, and/or information on measurement component carriers by a high layer signaling (RRC signaling). Then, the base station dynamically initiates an aperiodic CSI feedback request to the user equipment by downlink control information (through PDCCH). When receiving the aperiodic CSI feedback request transmitted by the base station, the user equipment transmits measured aperiodic CSI to the base station through an uplink channel (PUSCH or PUCCH). According to the present invention, the method for triggering aperiodic CSI feedback in CoMP transmission modes can be flexibly configured, and good backward compatibility can be obtained at the same time.
