  • Patent number: 8553062
Abstract: An optical scanner includes a third f-theta lens, an eccentric cam, an attaching portion, a first supporting member, a second supporting member and a spring. A distance between a face opposed to the first side-face of the third f-theta lens in the first supporting member and a face opposed to the second side-face of the third f-theta lens in the second supporting member is set to be longer than a distance of the third f-theta lens in its lateral direction. The spring is disposed opposed to the first side-face or the second side-face, and presses the third f-theta lens so that the third f-theta lens is in contact with the eccentric cam and either of the first supporting member and the second supporting member.

  • Patent number: 8553627
Abstract: A method for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmit diversity scheme is described. A UCI is coded with a Forward Error Correction code to obtain a coded UCI. The coded UCI is mapped to quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) symbols to obtain a mapped coded UCI. A phase shift pattern is selected. A phase shift from the phase shift pattern is applied to the mapped coded UCI based on an acknowledge/negative-acknowledge (ACK/NACK) to obtain a phase shifted mapped coded UCI. The mapped coded UCI is sent using a PUCCH resource on a first antenna. The phase shifted mapped coded UCI is sent using a PUCCH resource on a second antenna.

  • Patent number: 8553176
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device performs suitable overshoot drive, even if a panel temperature is changed due to a change of the backlight emission luminance. The liquid crystal display device includes: a temperature sensor which detects the temperature in the device; an emphasis conversion section, which obtains, after the elapse of one vertical display period, an emphasis conversion parameter for making the transmissivity of the liquid crystal panel reach the transmissivity specified by input image signals, and which outputs applying voltage signals for the liquid crystal panel on the basis of the emphasis conversion parameter; and a main microcomputer which corrects the panel temperature of the liquid crystal panel on the basis of the changed light emission luminance when the light emission luminance of the backlight is changed. The emphasis conversion section variably controls the emphasis conversion parameter on the basis of the panel temperature corrected via the main microcomputer.

  • Patent number: 8553929
Abstract: An image processing apparatus of the present invention includes: a self-similar image storing section 13 that stores a pattern of a self-similar image; a superimposed image data generating section 15 that generates superimposed image data from a self-similar image, based on the pattern of the self-similar image; an image combining section 17 that combines original image data with the superimposed image data; and a control section 11 that controls operations of the above-mentioned sections. The superimposed image data generating section 15 adjusts a pattern of a self-similar image so that a size of a superimposed image corresponds to a draw size of an original image which draw size is determined by the control section 11. It is therefore possible to combine the original image data with the superimposed image data so that the superimposed image is suitably drawn regardless of the draw size of the original image.
