  • Patent number: 5414685
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a disk player, which is capable of accessing to a disk in a short time, having higher durability and lower electric power consumption. The disk player comprising: a motor for rotating a disk; an optical pick-up for reading recorded data, which include synchronizing signals and output-data elements, and outputting as first signals; a first clock section for extracting the synchronizing signals and generating first clock signals, whose frequency is equal to that of the synchronizing signals; a second clock section for generating second clock signals and coinciding the frequency and the phase of the second clock signals with that of the first clock signals; a data extracting section for extracting the output-data elements on the basis of the second clock signals and outputting as second signals; and a processing section for rotating the motor at fixed rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 4988904
Abstract: The present invention relates to a voice coil motor with an encoder. In a voice coil motor whose rotor rotates in a prescribed angular width to a base, a rotary disc for encoding is attached to the fringe section of the rotor, and an encoder is provided on the base corresponding to the track of the rotary disc. Attaching the rotary disc to the fringe section of the rotor, the length of the track can be long, so that number of slits perforated on the rotary disc can be increased. Therefore, resolution of the angular position of the rotor can be high.

  • Patent number: 4899075
Abstract: A two-phase DC brushless motor comprising a stator wherein a pair of stator cores having a plurality of salient poles on a stator yoke mounted on a mounting base plate and a coil body are provided so that the coil body is positioned between the pair of stator cores and the salient poles of the pair of stator cores are angularly spaced at an electric angle of 180.degree. from each other, and a rotor provided with a permanent magnet having N and S poles arranged in the number equal to that of the salient poles of the pair of stator cores in a circumferential direction so as to oppose to the salient poles leaving a slight gap therebetween, wherein each of the salient poles is shaped to have a notched portion in one of opposite corners, in a direction of rotation of the rotor, of the outer end of the salient pole, and further comprising a position detection unit opposed to the permanent magnet for detecting a rotational position of the rotor to switch an energizing direction relative to the coil body.

  • Patent number: 4528473
Abstract: A permanent magnet type step motor comprising a rotor wherein a disc-like permanent magnet having a magnetic pole in an axial direction and a pair of rotor yokes holding the permanent magnet therebetween are integrally and coaxially mounted on a rotational shaft, and a stator having a stator core opposed to an outer circumference of the rotor yokes. The front and rear brackets are formed of a non-magnetic material in which a thin shield sheet of magnetic material is inserted therein, and the magnetic resistance between the rotor yokes and the ends of the brackets opposed thereto is increased to reduce the leaky magnetic flux from the motor.
