Abstract: A starting (raw) material, for cosmetics, comprising a core corona type microgel dispersion obtained by radical polymerization of a specific polyethylene oxide macromonomer, a specific hydrophobic monomer, and a specific cross-linking monomer under specific conditions. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the raw material for cosmetics, with which the cosmetic having a high stability provides a good feeling in use and does not cause skin irritation, can be easily produced.
Abstract: To provide an oil in water type solid cosmetic composition which can be solidified into a stable solid shape, has a desired sensation of elasticity, has favorable take up properties when taken up with a finger, and imparts a superior sensation of freshness when utilized, as an oil in water type preparation. An oil in water type solid cosmetic includes: (a) 0.1 to 5% by mass of a hydrophobically modified polyether urethane; (b) 0.01 to 5% by mass of a hydrophilic plate shaped powder; (c) a hydrophobic powder; (d) an oil component; and (e) water.
Abstract: The oily cosmetic includes 4 to 22 mass % of a polyether modified silicone wax and 40 to 80 mass % of an oily component. The oily component contains 46 mass % or more of a volatile oily component. The volatile oily component is contained in an amount of 25 mass % or more with respect to the mass of the oily cosmetic.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an agent for improving skin looseness or aging caused by dermal cavitation. By attracting fat stem cells into cavities in the dermis, dermal fibroblasts around the cavities can be activated and thus dermal cavitation can be ameliorated. As the results of a screening for fat stem cell attractants, it was found that rosemary extract and licorice extract are capable of attracting fat stem cells and, therefore, can improve skin looseness or aging caused by dermal cavitation.
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to develop a method for screening drugs having the effect of increasing skin barrier function in in vitro studies and to evaluate barrier function in the skin. The elastomer is characterized by comprising: (a1) a silicone polymer having an amino group; and (a2) a carboxyl group-containing silicone polymer or a carboxyl group-containing acrylic polymer, wherein the molar ratio of the amino group to the carboxyl group, Y/X is in the range of 0.1-1.2 (Y is the molar amount of the carboxyl group contained in the component (a2), and X is the molar amount of the amino group contained in the component (a1)).

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to newly provide a method with which it is possible to appropriately evaluate the protective effect of an external preparation for skin such as a sunscreen cosmetic, particularly to evaluate how a UV-ray protective effect is affected by heat. This evaluation method is characterized by including (1) a step for forming a coating film of an external preparation for skin on a substrate, (2) a step for heat-treating the coating film of the external preparation for skin, and (3) a step for measuring the UV-ray protective effect of the heat-treated coating film of the external preparation for skin. The heat treatment is preferably carried out for at least one minute at a temperature of 30-70° C.

Abstract: The invention provides a cosmetic base having an unprecedented appearance and feeling on use, in particular a cosmetic base with a novel feeling on use that gives a fresh feeling and a unique feel as the cosmetic softly bursts and collapses, allowing water to flow out, when applied to the skin, and a skin cosmetic using the same.
