Each panel has a planar portion including a top surface, a core, and a bottom surface. Extruded edge portions include tongues along two edges and complementary tongues along the other two edges. Each edge also includes a panel connecting assembly along each edge, having a lock device extending from an edge into the core. The lock device mounts directly against an anchor element. The anchor element extends through the bottom surface and having a connector receiving portion.

Abstract: A table and seating arrangement includes a tabletop defining a longitudinal direction and having an edge. A frame mounts to an underside of the tabletop and includes risers and laterally extending portions. Casters or wheels mount to the frame and provide for easy rolling transport of the table and seating arrangement. Seating assemblies having two stools mount to the framework on linkages that provide for moving the seats from a use position with the seats extended beyond the edge of the tabletops and engaging the ground to a storage position wherein the seats are raised and retracted to be inward from the edges of the tabletop.

Abstract: A folding table and seating apparatus has a generally oval shape and seating structures spaced around the periphery of the table. The folding table includes a pair of semicircular shaped tabletop sections folding along the straight edge of each section. A lock maintains the table in the unfolded position and is released by an end handle that extends downward from the center axis near the edges of the tabletop sections. The framework extends downward and out to eight stools, four stools spaced apart around the curving periphery of each tabletop section in a first seating configuration. In a second seating configuration, the framework supports four benches, two benches spaced apart around the curving periphery of each tabletop section. A support portion of the framework extends below each stool to provide spaced apart supports around the entire table or two legs extend downward from each bench. The benches and stools are interchangeable.

Abstract: A pivotal handle for a food service table is disclosed. The handle includes two elongated, parallel curved bar members. Each member has an outwardly extending arm and an outwardly extending leg. The legs have means for pivotably attaching the handle to the underside of the table. In its operative position, the handle is pivoted upwardly so that the arms are located above the top of the table. Locking means such as a quick release pin is inserted into an opening formed in the leg which locks the handle in place. When the table is ready to be used as a dining table or to be stored, the pin is removed so that the handle may now be rotated downwardly and stored under the table. A spring clip may be attached to the underside of the table which secures the handle in place when the handle is in the stored position.

A linkage mounts to the frame and to the top and facilitates movement of the top between a horizontal use position and a folded position wherein the top is substantially vertical. The linkage includes a link mounted to the frame at a first end and to the table top at a second end. A first element mounts to the underside of the top and has a slot with a straight portion and an end portion extending upward at an oblique angle to the straight portion. A follower mounts at the top of the frame and slides in the slot and resting in the end portion when the top is in the use position. The slot, follower and linkage are configured so that the table top does not require latching, but cannot be accidentally folding when force is applied to the top.

The hinge pin portion has a tab formed in an end thereof engaging a complementary slot formed in the hinge body portion. The slot includes a first section and a second section that receive and retain the tab for aligning and securing the handle at the use position and at the storage position. The biasing member urges the pin toward the slot. Rotation is accomplished by sliding the handle axially so that the tab disengages the slot and rotating the handle to the desired position and then releasing the handle.

The receiver elements include a first embodiment (50) having an opening (56) which can be entered by a tongue element from the side of the panel, and a second embodiment (70) having an opening (76) which can be entered by a tongue element from either the side or the bottom of the panel. The portable floor system further includes edge sections (26, 28) which create a smooth transition from the portable floor sections to the permanent floor surface.
