  • Patent number: 9850823
Abstract: A control system and method for a gas turbine engine are provided A controller (40) is responsive to at least one parameter to control an air-to-fuel ratio. The parameter may be a measured engine exhaust temperature from a temperature sensor (42). During a transient, such as a ramping condition of the engine, a measured value of such parameter may have a time lag affecting one or more control settings during the transient condition. The controller is programmed to predictively determine a bias for the measured value of the parameter to correct such control settings and avoid combustion instabilities and high emissions during such transient conditions.

  • Patent number: 9853592
Abstract: A method and a device for controlling an energy-generating system are operated with a renewable energy source. In the method, a prediction about an energy yield of the energy-generating system is made for a predefined prediction time period, and a predefined area, using a learning system with an input vector and an output vector. The output vector includes operating variables for a multiplicity of successive future times of the time period. The input vector includes variables, influencing the operating variables, for a point in time from a multiplicity of points in time of a predefined observation time period. The input variables include at least three items of information for the observation time period and the predefined area. The energy-generating system is controlled on the basis of the generated prediction such that weather-conditioned fluctuations in the energy yield of the energy-generating system are reduced.

  • Patent number: 9854027
Abstract: A method for providing clients with access to a service of a server in a network using an OPC-UA, the server service making available varying values of at least one variable to the clients, wherein a client registers for the server service by sending a subscription request for the server service to the server which sets up a subscription structure including a unique subscription ID as well as a TCP/IP multicast group associated with the subscription structure and including a unique multicast address, and there server communicates the multicast address and the subscription ID to every client submitting a subscription request to register for the server service, the server additionally sends each change in value of each variable of the server service to the multicast address over a network via a multicast message so that all clients registered for the server service receive the same multicast message.

  • Patent number: 9853453
Abstract: A wind park control system for controlling wind turbines of a wind park during a plant controller handover is provided. A plurality of plant controllers compute control values on the basis of system input data, which plant controllers are realized to operate in parallel. One of the plant controllers operates as an active plant controller for computing control values for controlling the wind turbines. One further plant controller operates as a standby plant controller. An output means continually issues control values to the wind turbines of the wind park. A handover arrangement for handing over control from the hitherto active plant controller to an operative standby plant controller is provided such that that standby plant controller then assumes the function of active plant controller. Further, a wind park, a method of controlling a wind park, and a method of performing a plant controller handover in a wind park are provided.
