  • Publication number: 20170358932
Abstract: In a method for balancing an energy storage system, a capacitance of capacitive storage modules of a series circuit of capacitive storage modules is determined. The capacitive storage modules are connected to a balancing device to allow control of a charge of each of the capacitive storage modules via a flow of current between the balancing device and the capacitive storage modules. For each of the capacitive storage modules a module charge is determined from a voltage of the capacitive storage module and a predefined balancing voltage. A reference charge is determined from the module charges of the capacitive storage modules, and a balancing charge is determined for each of the capacitive storage modules from the reference charge and the module charge of the capacitive storage module. The charge of the capacitive storage modules is controlled by exchanging the balancing charge between the capacitive storage module and the balancing device.

  • Publication number: 20170355280
Abstract: A method for controlling a braking torque of a drive system and for braking a vehicle includes in a first state connecting phase connections of a synchronous machine to one another by a changeover apparatus and short circuiting the phase connections such that a first braking torque develops at the synchronous machine. In a second state the phase connections are connected to one another by the changeover apparatus and to a resistance, such that a second braking torque develops at the synchronous machine. The changeover apparatus periodically switches between the first and second states at a switching frequency of 10 Hz or higher to produce a pre-settable braking torque at the synchronous machine, with the changeover between the first state and the second state being controlled by a timing element in an unregulated manner.

Abstract: A locking apparatus for a circuit breaker includes a locking pin including a main body; a rotatably or displaceably mounted definition tip; and a guide including a mating contour. In an embodiment, the locking pin is movably mounted within the guide. The definition tip is in alignment with the locking pin in a first position, such that the locking pin together, with the definition tip, is movable through the guide. Further, the definition tip cannot be moved through the guide in a second position, owing to the deflection of the rotatably and displaceably mounted definition tip of the locking pin.

  • Patent number: 9841478
Abstract: In a method and a control device for operating a magnetic resonance system by a pulse sequence that includes an excitation phase, material in an examination volume is excited by emission of an RF excitation pulse during a selection gradient pulse in a first gradient direction. RF refocusing pulses are then emitted and readout gradient pulses are activated in a second gradient direction for spatially coded acquisition of raw data of the examination volume along the second gradient direction. A prephasing gradient pulse is switched before a first RF refocusing pulse in the second gradient direction, and/or a rephaser gradient pulse is switched before an RF restore pulse, following the RF refocusing pulses, in the second gradient direction. The prephaser gradient pulse and/or the rephaser gradient pulse have lower slew rates than the readout gradient pulses.
