  • Patent number: 7447343
Abstract: A method is for automatic object marking in medical imaging. The method includes coupled displaying of different display modes of at least one image data record containing at least one object to be marked, in different display windows on at least one computer screen. The method further includes transferring the position of an initial point, selected by the user as part of an object-determining first marking, to the computer. Then, pattern recognition techniques are applied to the environment of the initial point of the first marking, resulting in a detailed high-resolution second marking of the object. Thereafter, reversible coding of the second marking of the image data records present in the computer takes place. Finally, the marked object is accentuated relative to its environment in the image data records on the screen.

  • Patent number: 7447295
Abstract: A method is disclosed for reconstructing a tomographic representation of an object from projection data off a moving radiation source through this object onto a detector, filtering and back projection of the projection data being executed in the reconstruction. In an embodiment of the method, by using at least one identical spatial arrangement of the radiation source, the detector and a test object instead of the object to be scanned, there is determined by test projections and an iterative reconstruction technique, a filter that in the given arrangement results in an optimum filtering and back projection of the projection data of the test object for the tomographic representation. Further, the object is scanned instead of the test object in the given arrangement and projection data are determined. Finally, the reconstruction of the tomographic representation is carried out using these projection data and the filter determined.

  • Publication number: 20080269944
Abstract: According to the invention, an initial trajectory (2) that is to be followed in a positionally guided manner is input into a computer (15), said initial trajectory (2) being described by an initial function (AF) such that one respective corresponding position (pA) is determined on the initial trajectory (2) by substituting a scalar trajectory parameter (s) into the initial function (AF). The scalar trajectory parameter (s) is different from time (t) while being characteristic of a distance (s) covered along the initial trajectory (2). The computer (15) filters the initial trajectory (2) with low-pass characteristics referring to the scalar trajectory parameter (s) as a function of the scalar trajectory parameter (s) and thus determines a rough function (GF) such that one respective corresponding position (pG) is determined on the rough trajectory (13) by substituting the scalar trajectory parameter (s) into the rough function (GF).

  • Patent number: 7444008
Abstract: In a method and system for automatically processing studies of imaging examination systems, each of the studies is given a priority code. Dependent on its priority code, the study is either processed immediately on a first computer allocated to the appertaining imaging examination system or the study is first intermediately stored in a memory device for a later processing, and an identifier allocated to the study is stored in a processing job list. At later points in time, the studies whose identifiers are stored in the processing job list are processed according to a predefined sequence. The first computer has further computers allocated to it for this purpose. The availability of the allocated, further computers is then checked and, insofar as one of the allocated computers is available for a processing of the study, an intermediately stored study is communicated to the appertaining, allocated computer for processing.

  • Patent number: 7443166
Abstract: In a method and magnetic resonance apparatus for generation of a measurement sequence that can be executed with the hardware of the magnetic resonance apparatus, a measurement sequence is generated as a series of time slices of different time slice types, with the control signals for the magnetic resonance apparatus during each time slice being determined using parameters describing these time slices. After division of the measurement sequence into a number of time slices dependent on the sequence type and on a k-space sampling type, descriptive variables are associated with the time slices. Value ranges of the variables are limited and/or the variables are set in relation to one another using boundary conditions. A determination ensues of solution values of the variables with which a predetermined target parameter of the measurement sequence is optimized. A measurement sequence executable on the hardware is attained by association of the solution values with the corresponding parameters of the time slices.

  • Patent number: 7443273
Abstract: The system utilizes the flow of a medium for cooling an installation, especially a transformer. The fact is utilized that the flow of the medium, e.g. wind, automatically increases with increasing load of the transformer. The novel transformer is formed so that its outer shape and the cooling elements are impinged upon by the natural air flow to a maximum degree. For this purpose, the cooling elements across their length are adapted to have a large cross-sectional area for the flowing medium. The depth of the cooling elements is chosen such that the flow resistance is not too high and so as to achieve a turbulent flow of the cooling air. Distance and arrangement of the cooling elements are chosen such that the transformer tank itself is reached by the flowing medium and serves for cooling.
