Abstract: A system uses clinical data to help identify incorrect demographic information (such as gender or age) of a patient that may cause an erroneous critical or abnormal indication in medical tests and uses results of a clinical test to indicate possible demographic errors and various methods to modify a workflow to incorporate alternative tasks or to request verification of specific demographic facts. A system for validating patient medical information includes an input processor for receiving a laboratory test result value of a particular patient. A data processor automatically compares the received laboratory test result value with a predetermined normal value range for a patient having demographic characteristics of the particular patient, and compares the received laboratory test result value with a predetermined normal value range for a patient having different demographic characteristics than the particular patient.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for converting a graphical trace of acquired patient data into digital data suitable for digital signal processing, which includes the steps of receiving data representative of an image including the graphical trace of acquired patient data; analyzing the received data to identify individual pixels comprising the graphical trace in the image representative data; generating a plurality of pixel representative data elements in a desired data format identifying the relative location of the individual pixels in relation to a reference point; generating the desired data format by identifying the relative location of the individual pixels and identifying at least one of, (a) color of said individual pixels and (b) luminance amplitude of said individual pixels; and storing the generated pixel representative data elements in a file.

Abstract: A Medication Reconciliation and Workflow system reconciles active medication orders in response to transitions in care setting and documents and automatically communicates reconciled medication information using electronic (e.g., HL7 CDA format) transactions and network (or other electronic) interfaces. A medication reconciliation system uses a detector for detecting a transition in care setting of a particular patient. A treatment validation processor, in response to a detected transition in care setting of the particular patient, automatically initiates review and safety checking of medications prescribed for the particular patient and provides information to a user enabling user validation of the review and safety checking. A documentation processor updates a medical record of the particular patient to include a record of the user validation and review, in response to a command by the user.

A system employed by an application for encoding URL link data for use in detecting unauthorized URL modification includes a link processor for processing URL data. The link processor adaptively identifies and encrypts an address portion of a URL and incorporates the encrypted address portion of the URL together with the non-encrypted portion of the URL into a single processed URL data string. The system also includes a communication processor for incorporating the processed URL data string into formatted data for communication to a request device. The link processor compresses the identified URL address portion (e.g., with a hash function) prior to encryption.

Abstract: A system and method for software test is disclosed that allows user management and adaptation of test procedures and the resulting test data. In an embodiment, the system and method provide a cross-platform user interface which allows testing to be conducted on a plurality of platforms, i.e. it is not integrated with a single platform or language (e.g., C++, Visual Basic, Java, or the like). The method further allows a user to customize a predetermined set of system characteristics relating to the stored test procedure.
