This is done as a function of the desired flushing flow, the temperature of a flushing stream and a pressure gradient at the tank venting valve, in such a way that the lambda deviation, brought about by a flushing procedure, of a lambda controller of the lambda control device, does not exceed a predefined maximum value.

    Abstract: A circuit configuration having a number of electronic circuit components. The operating state of the circuit components can be set to a reset or erase state by a predetermined control signal applied to the respective circuit component in which state a data content of the circuit component assumes a logic zero value. For the purpose of chronologically successive resetting the data contents of all the circuit components, a selection circuit is provided which is activated to allow the writing of the logic zero value to the circuit components. The selection circuit has a number of opening stages corresponding to the number of circuit components. The opening stages are connected in series one after the other and each circuit component is respectively assigned an opening stage of the selection circuit.

    Abstract: A method for enabling a plurality of Local Service Providers within a common Numbering Plan Area (NPA) to serve Subscribers of the plurality of Local Service Providers. The service provider area (SPA) code is used by the telephone system in the same manner presently used for routing calls made when a calling Subscriber dials the NPA code of the called party. Here, however, the SPA code is not dialed by the calling Subscriber. The dialed directory number, NXX-XXXX, of a called Subscriber subscribed to a different Local Service Provider, is sent to a database. The database maintains a record of the relationships between the directory numbers of Subscribers and the SPA codes of the Subscribers. The database retrieves the SPA code associated with the dialed directory number presently serving the called Subscriber.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for making contact between a multi-pole socket connector for plug-in connections and connecting wires. To simplify the method and economise on tools, a multi-row socket connector is split up into plastic plates, one side of the plate holding insulation piercing connecting devices and contact springs connected thereto, and the other side having correspondingly shaped integrally extruded pressure members. The plates are held at a spacing in a press tool by corresponding press-in pins having an interference fit. Connecting wires cut to length are inserted into these plates preassembled at a spacing. The connecting wires are pressed by the pressure members into the insulation piercing connecting device when the plates are pressed together.

    Abstract: A steam turbine having improved stationary parts in which a moisture removal slot is formed in a blade ring cylinder immediately upstream of the last row of rotating blades. The slot has a reduced width inlet throat portion and an enlarged manifold portion. The manifold portion of the slot distributes the moisture collected to a plurality of radially oriented discharge holes formed in the blade ring. The inlet throat serves to insolate the manifold from the swirling steam flowing through the turbine, thereby preventing entrainment of the moisture droplets into the steam flow. The blade ring encircles the tips of the last row of rotating blades and the outer flow guide is integrally formed on the blade ring. The steam turbine also has a new inner flow guide that matches a new last row of rotating blades. The new inner flow guide is attached to the existing inner flow guide by welds.

A driving device is mounted in the housing for providing a torque to the output coupling to displace the external device between the default position and the operating position when the driving device is energized. Also provided is a torque transmitting device for transmitting and changing the torque from the driving device to the output coupling. The torque transmitting device is cooperatively engaged to and is located between the driving device and the output coupling.

    Abstract: A fuse bank for use in the laser break-link programming of an integrated circuit device. The fuse bank uses fuse elements with two ends that contain fusible regions proximate the first end and non-fusible regions proximate the second end. The fuse elements are aligned in alternately oriented parallel rows so that the first end of each fuse element is juxtaposed with the second end of any adjacent fuse element. By sequentially alternating the orientation of the fuse elements in the fuse bank, the fuse elements can be formed in a highly dense matter without bringing any two fusible regions too close to one another. Accordingly, a laser can be used to sever selected fusible regions without adversely effecting other fusible regions within the fuse bank. By alternating the orientations of sequential fuse elements, a fuse bank can be created that is twice as dense as single orientation fuse banks with only a 30% to 50% increase in size.

    Abstract: A telephone having key/light control logic which enables independent and dual usage of physical key/light pairs. Firmware within the telephone's key and light control logic is provided access to special tables which have definitions for each key. When a key is depressed, a feature activation code is sent uplink to notify the PBX of the user's action. In response to receipt of the feature activation code, the PBX returns a feature indication. When the telephone receives the feature indication, it scans the tables and turns on all lights for which the feature indication matches the key definition. Within the tables, an extra definition is maintained for the standalone light. This definition is downloaded by the switch at phone initialization time along with the key definitions. If the switch defines a key definition as "local" then the user programs the definition of that key either via the phone keypad or through an application.
