Abstract: A casing is provided having a longitudinal axis of a turbomachine, the axis extending along a rotor. The casing includes at least one jacket part extending along the longitudinal axis and at least one end-face cover. The cover is surrounded by the jacket part at least with a part of the axial extension of the cover. The respective guide elements are designed such that they block a respective movement of the cover in the circumferential direction at least unidirectionally.

Abstract: In order to provide a high impedance between two sensor terminals, for instance for connecting a Rogowski transducer to a circuit breaker, but to prevent the coupling-in of interference signals in the case of a non-connection to the terminals, two auxiliary terminals are connected. In at least one embodiment, they are connected in such a manner that in the basic state, the sensor terminals are short circuited but in the case of a connection, for example of a plug to the sensor terminals and simultaneously to the auxiliary terminals, the short circuit is canceled with external short circuiting of the auxiliary terminals.

An output terminal of the multi-selection switch leads to an RF output channel. A control terminal of the multi-selection switch is used to receive a control signal so as to select a coil segment for connection to the output terminal. Multiple coil segments connected to the input terminals are not in consecutive positions, and the number of coil segments by which any two of the multiple coil segments are spaced apart is no fewer than the maximum number of coil segments required for one MRI imaging less 1. Abstract: Internal components of power generation machinery, including for example gas or steam industrial turbines as well as generators, are inspected a camera inspection system that is inserted and positioned within the machinery by an elongated cable carrier that has restricted cable flexure along a two-dimensional carrier cable flexure motion plane. A camera head that retains the camera is coupled to a distal end of the cable carrier. Embodiments also include a connector block coupled between the cable carrier distal end and the camera head. Embodiments include a camera head swing motion drive system for selectively positioning the camera head along the camera head range of motion path.
Abstract: A method for operating a continuous flow steam generator with an evaporator heating surface is provided. A target value for a supply water mass flow is fed to a device for adjusting the supply water mass flow. In order to improve the quality of a predictive supply water or mass flow control and to maintain the enthalpy of the flow medium at the evaporator outlet particularly stable especially when load changes occur, a correction factor is taken into consideration during production of the target value for the supply water mass flow. The correction factor is a characteristic of the temporal derivative of enthalpy or the density of the flow medium at the input of one or more heating surfaces.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for continuously or semi-continuously producing hot steel strip which, starting from a slab guided through a slab-guiding device, is rolled in, for example, an at least four-stand roughing train to form an intermediate strip and, in a further sequence in a finish rolling train, into a final strip. The thickness of a slab cast in a die is reduced in the liquid core reduction process by means of the adjoining slab-guiding device to between 85 and 120 mm, a slab support length measured between the meniscus, i.e., the bath level, of the die and an end of the slab-guiding device facing the roughing train being at least 18.5 m, a casting speed ranging from 3.8 to 7 m/min, and slabs of different thicknesses being cast as a function of given casting speeds. Using the disclosed casting parameters, high-quality finishing may be provided with high production capacities.

Abstract: A process for updating a data structure in a relational database used within a manufacturing execution system, contain the steps of defining within the database the data structure and defining SQL scripts having specific rules. The rules contain a header describing an initial data structure and a final data structure, thereby defining each of the defined SQL scripts as a section of the updating process. The current data structure of the database is analyzed and the required sections among the sections available are identified by comparing the current data structure of the database to the initial data structure defined in the header of the SQL script. A sequence order to apply the sections is defined and the required SQL scripts are run according to the defined sequence order. This allows developers to define the SQL script for their own demands without coordinating the requested changes with other development groups.

Abstract: A method and system for model-based fusion of multi-modal volumetric images is disclosed. A first patient-specific model of an anchor anatomical structure is detected in a first medical image acquired using a first imaging modality, and a second patient-specific model of the anchor anatomical structure is detected in a second medical image acquired using a second imaging modality. A weighted mapping function is determined based on the first patient-specific model of the anchor anatomical structure and the second patient-specific model of the anchor anatomical structure using learned weights to minimize mapping error with respect to a target anatomical structure. The target anatomical structure from the first medical image to the second medical image using the weighted mapping function. In an application of this model-based fusion to transcatheter valve therapies, the trachea bifurcation is used as the anchor anatomical structure and the aortic valve is the target anatomical structure.
Abstract: Superalloy components, such as service-degraded turbine blades and vanes, are clad by laser beam welding. The welding/cladding path, including cladding application profile, is determined by prior, preferably real time, non-contact 3D dimensional scanning of the component and comparison of the acquired dimensional scan data with specification dimensional data for the component. A welding path for cladding the scanned component to conform its dimensions to the specification dimensional data is determined. The laser welding apparatus, preferably in cooperation with a cladding filler material distribution apparatus, executes the welding path to apply the desired cladding profile. In some embodiments a post-weld non-contact 3D dimensional scan of the welded component is performed and the post-weld scan dimensional data are compared with the specification dimensional data.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for presenting three-dimensional data to a physician is provided to facilitate the flexible navigation of an endoscope and surgical instruments with respect to anatomical structures. In accordance with a first embodiment a first set of data corresponding to a three dimensional model of a patient's anatomy is received. This three-dimensional model may be rendered from images taken in CT or MRI scanning, as discussed above. In accordance with this embodiment, this model is then combined with a second set of data corresponding to a view obtained from an endoscope. In another embodiment, the view from the illustrative endoscope is displayed as an inset image on the display of the three-dimensional image. In yet another embodiment, the three-dimensional image comprises a graphical representation of at least a first surgical instrument, such as said endoscope. The surgeon may select among various combinations of views and may zoom in or out from any particular view.

Abstract: A method and system for contrast inflow detection in a sequence of fluoroscopic images is disclosed. Vessel segments are detected in each frame of a fluoroscopic image sequence. A score vector is determined for the fluoroscopic image sequence based on the detected vessel segments in each frame of the fluoroscopic image sequence. It is determined whether a contrast agent injection is present in the fluoroscopic image sequence based on the score vector. If it is determined that a contrast agent injection is present in the fluoroscopic image sequence, a contrast inflow frame, at which contrast agent inflow begins, is detected in the fluoroscopic image sequence based on the score vector.
