Abstract: A trigger assembly includes a selector operable between a safe position, a semiautomatic fire position, and an automatic fire position. In one example, the assembly includes a trigger rotatable between a resting position and a pulled position, a disconnector pivotable between a first position where it is in the path of the operational rod, and a second position where it is out of the path of the operational rod. A sear is pivotable between an engaged position and a disengaged position and is biased to the engaged position where it is positioned in the path of the operational rod. A sear link is pivotably connected to the trigger, such that pulling the trigger moves the sear link into contact with the sear to pivot the sear towards the disengaged position. The sear link is spaced from the sear when the trigger is in the resting position.

  • Publication number: 20240102755
Abstract: An ammunition carrier assembly includes a first plate having a first portion and a second portion, where the first plate is folded so that the second portion faces the first portion and the second portion extends from a fold along part of the first portion. A second plate is configured to be fixedly attached to the first plate. The second plate has a planar portion and a hub that extends away from a face of the planar portion. The hub defines openings in opposite sides of the hub. The first plate is sized and configured to be installed on a panel of an ammunition container such that the panel and part of the second plate is between the first and second portions of the first plate. The assembly can be part of a system that includes a magazine well attached to a machine gun.

  • Publication number: 20240102779
Abstract: A two-piece firearm projectile includes a jacket and a penetrator. The proximal end portion of the penetrator is received in and mates with a corresponding recess defined in the inside surface of the jacket. A three-piece projectile includes a jacket, a slug, and a penetrator. The slug and at least part of the penetrator are encased by the jacket, where the slug is positioned between the base of the jacket and the proximal end of the penetrator. The proximal end of the penetrator overlaps axially and mates with the distal end of the slug. In one example, a frustoconical end of the penetrator is received in and mates with a frustoconical recess in the distal end of the slug or the jacket as the case may be.

  • Publication number: 20240077273
Abstract: A mounting assembly for firearm muzzle device includes an attachment mount extending along a central axis and having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, the proximal end portion being configured to attach to a muzzle adapter or firearm muzzle, such as by threaded engagement. A locking mechanism on the mount proximal end portion includes cams received in openings defined in the mount proximal end portion, the cams movable between engaged position and disengaged positions. In the engaged position, the cams can engage an outer surface of a muzzle adapter installed in the attachment mount. A locking nut is rotatable about the mount proximal end portion and is configured so that rotating the locking nut in a first rotational direction moves the cams toward the engaged position and rotating the locking nut in a second rotational direction moves the cams towards the disengaged position.

  • Patent number: 11913748
Abstract: A magazine for rimmed cartridges includes a magazine tube having first left and right ribs on an inside of the magazine tube extend inward from a forward portion of opposite sidewalls and are laterally spaced by a first spacing. Second left and right ribs on an inside of the magazine tube extend inward from a rear portion of opposite sidewalls and are laterally spaced by a second spacing that is greater than the first spacing. When the magazine is filled to capacity with rimmed cartridges, cartridges in the magazine are arranged in two offset columns with projectiles of the rimmed cartridges laterally spaced from a median plane by a first distance and rims of the rimmed cartridges laterally spaced from the median plane by a second distance that is greater than the first distance. Also disclosed is a baseplate that attaches to a magazine tube using a snap fit.

  • Publication number: 20240035768
Abstract: Disclosed is an extractor for an autoloading firearm, the extractor having an extractor body extending a proximal end portion to a distal end portion. A knuckle is between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion and defines a pin opening extending crosswise through the extractor, where the pin opening has an elongated shape. During rearward movement of the bolt after firing, the elongated opening enables the extractor to shift downward and/or forward so that part of the extractor contacts the bolt, thereby preventing the extractor from pivoting about the extractor pin.

  • Publication number: 20240027151
Abstract: A breechblock assembly for a firearm includes a breechblock extending along a central axis and configured to reciprocate along a receiver of the firearm between a recoil position and a battery position. A lever on the breechblock is movable from a blocking position to a non-blocking position in response to the breechblock moving from the recoil position to the battery position. A spring biases the lever to the blocking position. When the lever is in the blocking position the lever prevents the firearm from firing.

Abstract: A slide for a semiautomatic handgun includes a slide body extending along a bore axis and having a top wall, side walls extending downward from lateral margins of the top wall, and a distal end defining a distal opening intersected by the bore axis. The slide body defines an open region between the top wall and the side walls, the open region sized and configured to receive a barrel of the semiautomatic handgun extending along the bore axis and so that a muzzle end of the barrel is spaced axially from the distal end of the slide body. A distal end portion of the top wall defines one or more ports positioned between the distal end of the slide body and the muzzle end of the barrel to be received in the open region.

  • Patent number: 11859932
Abstract: A suppressor for a firearm includes a baffle stack having an outer surface, the baffle stack comprising a plurality of baffles that define an inner chamber extending along a central axis of the baffle stack and a projectile pathway through the baffle stack along the central axis. An outer housing is around the baffle stack and defines an outer volume between the outer housing and the baffle stack. Structures and openings in the suppressor promote a sinuous gas flow path through the inner chamber that enhances turbulent flow within the suppressor and reduces backpressure as desirable when used with a machine gun.

  • Publication number: 20230392886
Abstract: A handgun trigger has a trigger body configured for pivotable or rotatable movement when installed in a handgun. A trigger shoe is removably attached or attachable to the trigger body and defines a user interface for firing the handgun. The trigger shoe can be made of polymeric material and can be attached to the trigger body using a snap fit. For example, the trigger shoe snaps over rear-facing surfaces of the trigger body when installed. Also disclosed is a takedown lever assembly for a semiautomatic handgun, where the takedown actuation lever operable between a firing position and a takedown position. In the takedown position the takedown actuation lever permits removal of the slide from the frame. In the takedown position the trigger is blocked from rotating to the pulled trigger position.

  • Patent number: 11815332
Abstract: An adjustable firearm sight includes a body made of a flexible and resilient material. The body includes an elevation arm connected to the body and extending proximally therefrom to a sight portion, where the elevation arm and the body comprise a monolithic structure. A cam body below the elevation arm has a cam surface in contact with a bottom surface of the elevation arm, where the cam body is rotatable to change a vertical position of the sight portion. Also disclosed is a front sight assembly where a sight element is disposed in a longitudinal bore through a sight body. A proximal end of the longitudinal bore has a reduced size. At a distal end, a retention pin is disposed in a retention bore that extends transversely to and intersects the longitudinal bore such that the retention pin occupies the longitudinal bore to retain the sight element.

  • Publication number: 20230304771
Abstract: A firearm stock includes a stock body slidably mounted on a beam. A lever attached to the stock body can be moved between a locked position, a first unlocked position, and a second unlocked position, where operating the lever moves a locking mechanism between locked and unlocked positions. For example, when the lever is in the first unlocked position, the locking mechanism permits longitudinal adjustment of the stock body along the beam. When the lever is in the second unlocked position the locking mechanism permits the stock body to be slidably removed from the beam. In one example, the lower portion of the stock body defines a plurality of cam pathways for pins that secure the lever to the stock body. Forward cam pathways permit either a pivoting movement about the rear pin or a downward and forward shifting movement.
