  • Patent number: 11936461
Abstract: A method for wireless communication between a plurality of transmitter devices and at least one receiver device using a repeater device on the surface of the Earth. Messages transmitted by transmitter devices and received by the repeater device are collected by the repeater during a collection window. The messages received during the collection window are retransmitted to the receiver device by the repeater device. The messages received during the collection window are retransmitted so that at least two messages received non-simultaneously are retransmitted simultaneously to the receiver device.

  • Patent number: 11855779
Abstract: A method for transmitting a message via an access network to a group of terminals is provided. The access network transmits the message to the group of terminals over a broadcast channel. The access network receives a request for retransmission of the message transmitted from a terminal that has not correctly received the message. The access network evaluates a predetermined broadcast retransmission criterion and retransmits the message over a point-to-point link or over a broadcast channel according to the predetermined broadcast retransmission criterion.

  • Patent number: 11835638
Abstract: A method for geolocating a terminal of a wireless communication system. The terminal includes a positioning device for obtaining a precise geographical position of the terminal. An access network of the communication system estimates an approximate geographical position of the terminal. In order to limit the size of the messages exchanged between the terminal and the access network, only a truncated part of the information about the precise geographical position of the terminal is transmitted by the terminal to the access network. The access network determines the precise geographical position of the terminal by combining the truncated information received from the terminal with the approximate geographical position estimated by the access network.

  • Patent number: 11705961
Abstract: A method for achieving wireless communication between a transmitter and a receiver via a repeater device. The value of a first physical property of a message received from the transmitter is measured by the repeater device. The value of a second physical property to be used for the retransmission of the message is determined by the repeater device depending on the value of the first physical property measured for the received message. The message is retransmitted to the receiver by the repeater device using the determined value of the second physical property.

  • Patent number: 11442133
Abstract: A method for estimating the geographical position of a terminal of interest, among a panel of terminals of a wireless communication system. For each terminal of the panel, a time signature including values measured for each terminal during a predetermined observation period is determined. Values of similarity between the time signatures of the terminals of the panel is calculated, a similarity value calculated for two terminals representing the probability of the terminals being moved together or having been located at the same place during the observation period. Various terminals of the panel are partitioned into different groups depending on the similarity values. The geographical position of the terminal of interest is estimated as a function of the available geolocation data for at least one other terminal of the group to which the terminal of interest belongs.

  • Patent number: 11388668
Abstract: A method for controlling, via a terminal, a standby mode of a first communication module of the terminal. The first communication module exchanges data with a first wireless access network. The terminal includes a second communication module, which exchanges data with a second wireless access network. The second communication module has a maximum data rate that is lower than a maximum data rate of the first communication module. The terminal belongs to a group of terminals sharing a set of one or several identification codes for connecting to the first wireless network. When the first communication module is in standby mode, the second communication module listens to a downlink between the second wireless access network and the terminal.
