  • Patent number: 10492171
Abstract: A method for transmitting broadcast signals from a group of base stations to terminals of a wireless communication system. Each base station having a coverage area. The coverage areas of the base stations of the group are distributed geographically such as to serve a geographical area. Since the broadcast signals are of limited duration and are transmitted in a frequency band used by all of the base stations of the group, the base stations of the group are time-synchronized in relation to one another. The broadcast signals from the base stations of the group are time-multiplexed. In addition, the wireless communication system has multiple geographical regions. Each region includes multiple groups of base stations), and the broadcast signals of different geographical regions are time-multiplexed.

  • Patent number: 10454730
Abstract: A method allowing a receiver device of a wireless communication system to receive a useful signal emitted by an emitter device. The useful signal corresponding to a signal, the phase or frequency of which is modulated by a sequence of two-state symbols corresponding to a sequence of binary data. A temporal envelope of the useful signal is detected and compared to a preset threshold value. Transitions between consecutive useful-signal symbols are detected, on the basis of the result of the comparison. A sequence of binary data is extracted from the useful signal depending on the detected transitions.

  • Patent number: 10333665
Abstract: A wireless communication method between a plurality of terminals and an access network. The access network is configured to transmit downlink messages on a downlink in reply to uplink messages transmitted by the terminals. The access network includes a plurality of half-duplex base stations. Each terminal waiting for a downlink message in reply to a transmitted uplink message is configured to listen to the downlink in a listening window, the duration of which is at least five times that of the downlink message. The method includes the steps of determining if listening windows of terminals overlap. When an overlap allows the transmission of several downlink messages by a single base station, the downlink messages are transmitted grouped together in a single transmission window of the base station.

  • Patent number: 10327161
Abstract: A method of communication between an access network and terminals. The access network includes half-duplex base stations, in which, when a downlink message is to be sent, in the course of a predetermined time interval, to a terminal that has sent an uplink message received by several base stations. Reception loads associated respectively with a group of base stations that have received the uplink message sent by the terminal are obtained. Each reception load being representative of a probability of reception, by the corresponding base station, of an uplink message in the course of the time interval. A base station is selected from among the base stations of the group, as a function of the reception loads obtained. The downlink message is transmitted by the selected base station.

Abstract: A method for analyzing frequency resources within a predetermined multiplexing band. For at least one base station, capabilities for detecting uplink messages respectively in different frequency sub-bands within the multiplexing band are estimated. For each frequency sub-band, a predetermined service quality criterion is assessed depending on the detection capability estimated for the frequency sub-band. A spectral map of service quality for the base station is transmitted. The spectral map is representative of the frequency sub-bands for which the service quality criterion has been verified and the frequency sub-bands for which the service quality criterion has not been verified.
