    Abstract: Pressure gauge for very high pressures based upon a principle similar to the Bourdon tube, comprising a beam-shaped measuring element having an elongate cavity lying eccentrically in the cross section of the measuring element, and being supported by a holder member at one end. The measuring element is composed of two substantially plate-shaped parts manufactured in planar technology, preferably of silicium or quartz. One plate part is provided with an elongate recess in that surface which faces against a cooperating surface on the other plate part, so as to form the eccentric cavity. Both plate parts are jointed at the surfaces in such a manner that the cavity is sealingly closed. The measuring element is adapted to be subjected exteriorly to the very high pressures to be measured.

    Abstract: A method for active noise reduction based on destructive interference of sound waves in order to reduce the energy in a sound field employs two omnidirectional microphones (M1, M2) provided in connection with a loudspeaker. The acoustic feedback of the microphones is eliminated by a closed loop consisting of the microphones and the loudspeaker. The loudspeaker used is an open loudspeaker with a dipole characteristic, thus causing one of the microphones to be more sensitive to the far field and thereby to the noise which has to be suppressed. The method is implemented by a device which comprises a digital signal processor (DSP) for processing the microphone signals and which transmits an output signal to the loudspeaker where the feedback component from the loudspeaker is substantially eliminated, while the output signal's phase and amplitude are adjusted in such a manner that an effective cancellation of the noise is obtained in an area around the loudspeaker's near field.

    Abstract: The invention provides a plant for the storage of fish and shellfish that includes a net cage for submerging in a body of water. The entire cage is supported in water by a support section supplied with a buoyant element.     Abstract: High side pressure in a transcritical vapor compression cycle system is regulated by varying a liquid inventory of a low pressure refrigerant receiver provided in a circuit of the system. The circuit includes a compressor, a gas cooler, a throttling valve, an evaporator and the receiver connected in series in a closed circuit operating at supercritical pressure in a high pressure side of the circuit. The degree of opening of the throttling valve is controlled to regulate the high side pressure in the circuit. It is possible to control capacity, and it also is possible to achieve minimum energy consumption for a given capacity requirement by regulating high side pressure.
