Abstract: The present invention relates to a bone regeneration or bone formation promoting pharmaceutical composition comprising muramyl dipeptide, an analogue thereof, a derivative thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In contrast to existing passive therapeutic agents which center on bone absorption suppression based on mechanisms for reducing osteoclast functionality, the composition comprising muramyl dipeptide of the present invention promotes the differentiation of osteoblasts, which are bone forming cells, and can advantageously be used in various diseases where bone formation is required as an active therapeutic agent that does not affect osteoclast.

Abstract: A method of mobile video streaming according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes three parts. The first part is for AP to measure the information of all clients such as ETX (Expected Transmission count metric) and RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator) periodically for long-term channel quality and mobility patterns of each client. In the second part, AP estimates the buffer status, short-term channel quality, and mobility detection of each client based on only feedback from the target client and first part result. And lastly, AP performs a practical online scheduling to select the best network code set satisfying high Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), a standard metric of video quality, during a GoP (Group of Picture) at all clients based on I-frame priority.

Abstract: There is provided a method of reducing noise in a medical image while maintaining structure characteristics within the medical image. The method of reducing noise in the medical image includes: a step of estimating the amount of noise at each pixel by using a look-up table that previously stores physical properties of an image capturing device; a step of calculating a structure direction and a signal coherence at each pixel; a step of performing anisotropic smoothing by using an anisotropic smoothing filter kernel that reflects the structure direction and the signal coherence; and a step of obtaining a structure direction and a signal coherence from an image on which the anisotropic smoothing is performed, obtaining an anisotropic smoothing filter kernel that reflects the obtained structure direction and the signal coherence, and performing filtering that reflects statistical properties of the estimated amount of noise.

Abstract: A method of verifying operation of an oscillator includes performing a Monte-Carlo simulation with respect to points in an initial-conditions space, and then judging whether a frequency error exists. An oscillation error is determined to exist when the frequency error exists. Additional operations include determining a point at which a probability of having a settling time longer than a maximum value, of a settling time obtained up to a present time, is maximum when the frequency error does not exist. The Monte-Carlo simulation is then performed on the determined point to judge whether the frequency error exists.
