Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments, a system may include a sensor, a remote, and one or more transceivers. In example embodiments, the sensor may be configured to sense a condition and send a first signal when the condition is sensed. In example embodiments, the first signal includes a first unique identifier. In example embodiments, the remote is configured to send a second and third signal (for remote “on” and “off”) and the second and third signals will include a second unique identifier. In example embodiments, the first transceiver is configured to receive and retransmit the first, second and third signals. A retransmission of the third signal from the remote further deactivates the transceiver(s) from the “ready” state to the “off” state. Sending the second signal from the remote (the “on” signal) resets the transceiver(s) from the “off” state to the “ready” state.
Abstract: A fire protection system comprising at least one sprinkler, a source of pressurized water, a piping network connecting at least one sprinkler to the source of pressurized water, and a nitrogen generator coupled to the sprinkler system. The nitrogen generator may be a nitrogen membrane system or a nitrogen pressure swing adsorption system. The present systems and methods reduce or nearly eliminate corrosion that typically affects conventional fire protection systems, such as caused by oxygen and microbial systems, which can deteriorate or compromise function. Initial, repeated, or continuous displacement of oxygen with nitrogen in the fire protection system significantly reduces or eliminates corrosion.

Abstract: The application is generally directed towards a drop nozzle for an agricultural sprayer. The drop nozzle can be used to reduce spray drift as liquids are deposited by the sprayer. The drop nozzle includes a valve assembly including a shutoff valve, a tube operably connected to the valve assembly, and an airfoil connected to the tube. The shutoff valve selectively prevents fluid flow from the valve assembly to the tube and the airfoil directs airflow around one or more portions of the drop nozzle.

Abstract: Provided is a method including determining a first incident angle at which light from a light source will impinge on a first thin-film reflective stack of a planned first reflector for a lighting system. The method also includes determining a second incident angle at which light from the light source will impinge on a second thin-film reflective stack of a planned second reflector for the lighting system. The method further includes designing, using a processor executing a software package, the first reflector, comprising tuning a reflective characteristic of the first thin-film reflective stack as a function of the first incident angle determined, and designing, using the processor executing the software package, the second reflector, comprising tuning a reflective characteristic of the second thin-film reflective stack as a function of the second incident angle determined.

Abstract: A refrigerant recovery system includes a first oil separator including a chamber configured to receive refrigerant from an air conditioning system, a heat exchanger disposed within the first oil separator, and a compressor fluidly connected to the chamber and the heat exchanger. A first valve is disposed in a first flow line that is fluidly connected between an inlet of the first oil separator and a source of refrigerant and a second valve is disposed in a second flow line that fluidly connects the compressor and the heat exchanger. A controller is configured to open the first valve to enable refrigerant to pass into the chamber of the first oil separator, open the second valve so that a flow loop for refrigerant is formed between the heat exchanger and the compressor, activate the compressor to heat the refrigerant flowing through the flow loop, and subsequently commence a refrigerant recovery operation.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a referral request to refer a consumer to one or more of an institution and a recipient service provider; obtaining, from one or more data repositories, medical information to be included in the requested type of medical record note; generating the requested type of medical record note; transmitting the referral request and the requested type of medical record note to one or more of a computing device associated with the institution and a computing device associated with the recipient service provider; and granting access to an online referring service provider portal that enables input of information related to a visit of the consumer to one or more of the institution and the recipient service provider.
Abstract: A fund management system may facilitate sharing diligence information related to an investment fund with a client, a manager of another fund, a third party and/or other trusted party. The fund management system may enable one or more levels of restricted access to a fund and its associated documents. The fund management system may allow a fund manager, administrator, and/or other fund-level entity to restrict access to information about funds, information about a document of a fund, and/or other information. The fund management system may allow an author of a document to share the document with a trusted party, where that trusted party may have access to information about the document but may not be able to access the document itself. Responsive to an author sharing a document with a trusted party, the fund management system may share the documents of the trusted party with the author.
Abstract: A fund management system may determine an investment theme based on aggregated information related to investment research activities of a plurality of users and determine a set of potential users to include in a syndicate for the investment theme, wherein the investment theme comprises a topic on which the syndicate may base a strategy for a new investment fund. The fund management system may notify the first user of inclusion in the set of potential users of the syndicate by providing information about the syndicate; and restricting access of the first user to information related to any members of syndicate or information related to other users in the set of potential users. Responsive to the first user indicating acceptance of membership in the syndicate, the fund management system may add the first user as a member of the syndicate and provide information related to other members of syndicate.
Abstract: Heavily phosphor loaded LED packages having higher stability and a method for increasing the stability of heavily phosphor loaded LED packages. The silicone content of the packages is increased by decreasing the amount of one phosphor of the blend or by increasing the thickness of the silicone phosphor blend layer.

Abstract: A fund management system may determine an investment theme for a potential investment fund based on investment research activities of a plurality of users of the fund management system. The fund management system may also identify a set of users from the plurality of users to include in a syndicate for the investment theme. The determined investment theme may comprise a topic on which the syndicate may base a strategy for a new investment fund. Responsive to a first user being included in the set of users of the syndicate, information related to the investment theme may be output to the first user.
Abstract: When a request having a keyword is received, a domain name having the keyword can be generated and a network resource corresponding to the domain name can be requested wherein the network resource is adapted to extract the keyword from the domain name. In turn, when a request having a first domain name is received, a second domain name having the first domain name can be generated and a network resource corresponding to the second domain name can be requested wherein the network resource is adapted to extract the first domain name from the second domain name.

Abstract: Provided is a fluid detection device. The fluid detection device may be used to detect body fluids, for example, blood or urine. The fluid detection device includes a first conductive member on a first side of a non-conductive member which is fluid absorbent, and a second conductive member on a second side of the non-conductive member, wherein the first and second conductive members are arranged across a thickness of the non-conductive member. A voltage is applied across the two conducting members. When body fluid is absorbed by the non-conductive member, its resistance decreases so that measurable current flows between the conducting members and can be sensed and used for alarm or other purposes.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system are described that provides fully automated network access to remote networked devices. The device and system permits the remote access of a local network without any pre-configuration or administrative burden at the local network. Embodiments as described herein provide a “plug and play” option to insert a device into the local network and provide access to select target devices on the network, even non-routable devices, without first requiring dedicated host software or other administrative privileges or configurations be set at the local network.
