Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein that enable a user (e.g., a developer) to develop an interactive media object. The interactive media object may be suitable for embedding in a digital book, a web page, or other application. A user may be provided with a graphical user interface that enables a user to add one or more components to the interactive media object. For example, a user may be enabled to provide a background image. The user may be further enabled to insert a foreground image and/or one or more overlay(s) (i.e., an image that can be toggled on or off by the user) over the background image. The user may further be able to insert “hotspots” and/or filmstrips over the background image, foreground image, and/or the overlay(s). A bundler may be provided that assembles the one or more components into the interactive media object.

  • Publication number: 20150335453
Abstract: Weight loss can be promoted by folding a portion of the gastric fundus of a human subject's stomach in proximity to the distal portion of the subject's left gastric artery (including its smaller branches), and clipping the tissue so that it stays in the folded state. The clips cause endovascular flow reduction or interruption to the fundus. The reduced or interrupted blood flow decreases the production of the hormone ghrelin, which reduces the subject's appetite, thereby promoting weight loss. A similar procedure may also be implemented in portions of the subject's stomach that are in proximity to other arteries.

  • Patent number: 9189451
Abstract: A network device determines an exposure time associated with an image sensor coupled to a spacecraft for capturing an image of a target object orbiting the Earth. The network device computes a maximum relative angular velocity associated with the target object based on the exposure time and a dimension of a pixel of the image sensor. The network device identifies a first pointing direction of the image sensor for initiating a search for the target object. The network device generates a first angular velocity probability distribution map for the target object and divides the first angular velocity probability distribution map into a first set of angular velocity regions (AVRs). The network device selects a first AVR from the first set of AVRs for scanning by the image sensor and generates a search schedule that includes a first entry for informing the spacecraft to scan the first AVR.
