Abstract: A fire suppression wet pipe system air vent assembly and method of venting air from a fire suppression wet pipe system includes providing a primary air vent valve having an inlet and an outlet. The primary air vent inlet is adapted to be connected with a fire suppression wet pipe system and is configured to vent air, but not water, from its outlet. A secondary air vent valve having an inlet and an outlet is provided. The secondary air vent valve is configured to vent air, but not water, from its outlet. A fluid conduit connects the primary air vent valve outlet with the secondary air vent valve inlet. The second air vent valve provides failsafe air venting upon the failure of the primary air vent valve. A fluid indicator may be provided that indicates the presence of fluid in the conduit. • Patent number: 8764885
Abstract: Condensable vapors such as carbon dioxide are separated from light gases in a process stream. The systems and methods employ a direct exchange heat exchanger to desublimate the condensable vapors from the process stream. The condensable vapors are condensed by directly contacting a heat exchange liquid in the direct contact heat exchanger while the uncondensed light gases from the process stream form a separated light-gas stream. The separated light-gas stream can be used in a recuperative heat exchanger to cool the process stream.

  • Patent number: 8767258
Abstract: Force K processing is presented to replace gray color values of input data with only levels of black ink/toner when color management is not specified in the print job. A system converts input data of a print job to a CMYK color space of a printer by processing a lookup table of color values for the color space of the input data based on a detected color space of the input data to identify gray color values of the lookup table. The system also determines that these gray color values produce an output in the CMYK color space of the printer that includes one or more of cyan, magenta, and yellow color components. The system replaces the gray color values with black color values and corresponds the black color values of the lookup table with gray color values of the input data for conversion of the input data.

  • Patent number: 8769181
Abstract: A fabric interconnect system may provide a data path between nodes and/or processing elements within an interconnection fabric. Identifiers may be assigned to particular components associated with the interconnection fabric. These identifiers may uniquely identify the particular components, and may indicate a path between a root node and a particular component. In some embodiments, the identifiers include turn counts and turn values that specify a turn-based bath from the root node to a particular component. One or more identifier acceptance rules may be used in order to determine whether a given component should accept and store a particular identifier that the component receives. For example, a lower priority identifier may be discarded in favor of a higher priority identifier.

  • Publication number: 20140174111
Abstract: A portable recovery unit for automatically filling a background tank of blended refrigerant includes a main tank for holding recovered refrigerant from a vehicle A/C system which has a first chemical composition, and an auxiliary tank for holding an auxiliary supply of fresh refrigerant which has a second refrigerant composition. The auxiliary tank is arranged in fluid communication with the main tank so that fluid can be transferred from the auxiliary tank to the main tank. An electronic controller controls the flow of fluid from the auxiliary tank to the main tank. A refrigerant identifier is coupled to the main tank to sample and analyze the refrigerant in the main tank in order to determine the chemical composition of the refrigerant in the main tank, so the refrigerant in the main tank can be purified to an acceptable level based on that analysis.
