  • Patent number: 8715401
Abstract: Condensable vapors such as carbon dioxide are separated from light gases in a process stream. The systems and methods employ a particle bed cooled by an in-bed heat exchanger to desublimate the condensable vapors from the process stream. The condensable vapors are condensed on the bed particles while the light gases from the process stream, which are not condensed, form a separated light-gas stream. The separated light-gas stream can be used in a recuperative heat exchanger to cool the process stream.

  • Publication number: 20140122100
Abstract: Evaluation of health care provider quality is described. Data is obtained, the data including claims data and member data of a member panel of a health care provider, the member panel including patients to which the provider provides health care services. Based on the obtained data, quality scores are determined for the provider across the member panel and across health care quality domains. A composite health provider quality score of the health provider is then determined, where the composite health provider quality score is a composite of the determined quality scores across the member panel and across the multiple health care quality domains. In some embodiments, risk-adjustment is performed for the quality scores, such as risk-adjustment against a peer reference base based on disease categories, patient age, and patient gender.

  • Publication number: 20140120277
Abstract: Polymeric formulations which contain aqueous dispersions of acrylic monomers and copolymers and modified polyethylene terephthalate resin are disclosed which are useful as a coating system or treatment for imparting water, oil and grease resistance to underlying cellulosic substrates. The formulations do not contain any fluorochemicals, polyethylene or wax. Moreover, the formulations provide water, oil and grease resistance properties that are an improvement in the art to known coatings and treatments which contain polyethylene and or wax for water, oil and grease resistance. These coatings can also impart improved anti-wicking properties over the existing art. These formulations have interest as they contain components that are permitted to come into direct contact with food products. Therefore, the formulations of the present invention are ideal for use as coatings for paper and paperboard, including paper packaging such as that utilized in food wrappers, food containers, food receptacles, etc.
