Abstract: Methods and systems can automate the delivery of motor vehicle fuel while reducing the need for operator involvement and driving to a gas station. A server with access to a database and in wireless communication with computers installed in a motor vehicle can collect data from the computers including vehicle fuel level and vehicle geographic location. The data can be compared to the data to a fuel level threshold and geographic boundary. The data can be transmitted wirelessly through a wireless network to the database. A mobile fuel tanker truck can be dispatched to the vehicle's location when at least one of: fuel service is requested by a user of the vehicle or the vehicle's fuel level falls beneath the fuel level threshold. Fuel service can be requested by a user via a smartphone running an application that enables the monitoring, management, selection, and ordering of fuel service.
Abstract: Wall panels for building construction may include a corrugated sheet including a first series of peaks on a first side of the corrugated sheet configured for positioning to face a room interior. The corrugated sheet may also include a second series of peaks on a second, opposite side of the corrugated sheet configured for positioning to face a room exterior. A radiant barrier including a material reflective to heat may be secured only to the second series of peaks. The corrugated sheet may form pockets of air between the radiant barrier and the corrugated sheet.
Abstract: A robotic shuttle system includes a rack system and one or more shuttles. The rack system includes a rack and a shuttle frame. The rack has storage locations for containers containing items. The shuttle frame has rails disposed along the rack. The shuttle includes a powertrain, container transfer mechanism, and a robot arm. The power train is configured to move the shuttle along the rails of the rack and on a surface outside of the rack system. The container transfer mechanism is configured to transfer the containers between the rack and the shuttle. The robot arm extends from the shuttle to transfer the items between one of the containers on the shuttle and a container in a container holder of the shuttle.

Abstract: An assembly for use with a power and free conveyor comprises a track member adapted to be slidingly received by a receiver portion of a power and free conveyor power track. The track member is slidingly moveable from a first position to a second position such that, when in the first position, the proximal end is retained within the receiver portion and the distal end is proximate to a connection portion. When in the second position, the proximal end is retained within the receiver portion and there is a gap between the distal end and the connection portion. A power and free conveyor comprising the assembly is also provided. A method of servicing a power and free conveyor comprising a sliding track member is also provided.
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring, detecting, and/or intervening with respect to cavitation and pulsation events during hydraulic fracturing operations may include a supervisory controller. The supervisory controller may be configured to receive pump signals indicative of one or more of pump discharge pressure, pump suction pressure, pump speed, or pump vibration associated with operation of the hydraulic fracturing pump. The supervisory controller also may be configured to receive blender signals indicative of one or more of blender flow rate or blender discharge pressure. Based on one or more of these signals, the supervisory controller may be configured to detect a cavitation event and/or a pulsation event.

Abstract: Methods of making composite articles wherein at least a portion of a hardsurface wear protection applied to a composite article includes matrix composite and hard elements with channels between the hard elements. A layered preform coating mat may be applied over a substrate of the composite article and then fused thereto to form channels between hard elements in the coating mat. The channels may extend over the entire outer surface of the composite article or only over a portion thereof. A hybrid layered preform coating mat may include a depressed section adapted for receiving a perforated braze preform inlay. When the coating mat is fused to the substrate, channels may be formed between the hard elements in the depressed section, but not in a non-depressed section.

Abstract: A method to attenuate noise associated with operation of a gas turbine engine during a fracturing operation may include connecting an inlet of a first elongated plenum to an exhaust duct of the gas turbine engine. The method further may include connecting a noise attenuator to a distal end of the first elongated plenum. The noise attenuator may include first and second silencer hoods. The method also may include pivoting the first and second silencer hoods from stowed positions to operative positions so that the second silencer hood in combination with the first silencer hood define a second elongated plenum positioned to receive exhaust gas via the first elongated plenum and the exhaust duct. The first elongated plenum and the second elongated plenum may increase an effective length of the exhaust duct and may reduce sound emission associated with operation of the gas turbine engine.

Abstract: Disclosed are combination radio frequency identification (RFID) and electronic article surveillance (EAS) tags and methods of producing such tags using a converting machine. The method is characterized by feeding a first roll carrying first type inlays and a second roll carrying second type inlays into a converting machine; and, transferring, using the converting machine, the first type inlays to a surface of the second type inlays, thereby forming a two-layer tape carrying pairs of first and second type inlays, each of the pairs comprising an RFID inlay and an EAS inlay, wherein there is no overlap of an RFID antenna element of each RFID inlay and an EAS antenna element of a paired EAS inlay, and wherein the RFID inlay and the EAS inlay of each pair are functionally independent.

Abstract: Medical apparatuses for securing, protecting, retaining, and/or concealing various medical devices such as catheters or electrical leads are disclosed herein. The medical apparatus can be a garments which for use by a patient having a central venous catheter in place. Medical garments as disclosed herein can be used for a wide variety of medical devices attached to a patient, by implantation or otherwise, for varying lengths of time. Medical garments described herein may be used with any of a variety of medical devices which include or comprise one more conduits used for medical treatment or diagnosis, including conduits which comprise catheters as well as electrical conduits such as electrical leads.
Abstract: An improved chair seat design is disclosed comprising a foam cushioning unit having top, middle, and bottom layers of foam secured together into a single unit. The bottom layer of foam includes a recess or slot sized to accommodate a void cell cushioning layer. The void cell cushioning layer is inserted into the recess/slot of the foam cushioning unit. Preferably, the void cell cushioning layer comprises an upper layer having an array of smaller cells with peaks pointing downwardly and pockets facing upwardly into the foam cushioning unit, and a lower layer having larger cells with peaks pointing upwardly and pockets facing downwardly relative to the foam cushioning unit. The foam cushioning unit with void cell cushioning layer inserted is then preferably attached to a contoured seat pan to form an improved office chair seat.

Abstract: A ladder attachment platform is provided that includes a base for attachment to a ladder that has first and second side rails and a plurality of rungs that extend between in a lateral direction. Also included is a user platform for having a user stand thereon that is carried by the base. The user platform may be positioned with respect to the ladder so that it is not located between a first plane that extends through the first side rail and is perpendicular to the lateral direction and a second plane that extends through the second side rail and is perpendicular to the lateral direction.
