Abstract: Disclosed is a protective cabinet in the form of a moveable furniture unit that has structure to enable moving the furniture unit into a locked position in which it blocks a point of ingress of a would-be assailant, such as a door or window into a space. In certain configurations, the furniture unit includes protective, hardened material, such as a ballistic material that provides increased protection against fire from a weapon, such as may be encountered in an active shooter event. For example, the cabinet may be used on a daily basis inside of a classroom, and may be moved and locked into a position in front of a doorway, window, or other ingress or egress point of the classroom during an active shooter or other threat event to both block the ingress/egress point and provide ballistic protection against weapons fire from outside of the room.

Abstract: A multi-source ground-to-air heat transfer system is configured to store thermal energy during a cooling/dehumidifcation mode of operation for future use during a heating mode of operation. The multi-source ground-to-air heat transfer system utilizes a ground loop that is configured under an enclosure, such as a greenhouse, and is in thermal communication with a thermal reservoir medium to conduct and store heat. A thermal exchange fluid is pumped through the ground loop and ground heat exchanger and may receive heat from a condenser during a cooling/dehumidification mode of operation and may liberate heat to the evaporator during a heating mode. The enclosure air may receive heat from the heat pump during a heating mode and may liberate heat to the evaporator during a cooling/dehumidification mode. The heat exchange system may employ a heat pump having a reversing valve to change the mode of operation.

Abstract: A buoyant apparatus that is capable of floating on liquid surfaces, such as bodies of water filled with waste byproducts. The buoyant apparatus supports a plurality of atomizers via rotatable and flexible arms that can achieve 180° adjustments with the respect to a longitudinal axis of the buoyant apparatus, such that the arms can be parallel to a surface of the body of water in both an extended orientation (with the atomizers deployed over the water surface) and a retracted orientation (with the atomizers stored within the surface area of the platform). In addition, the arms can achieve 360° rotational adjustments about the attachment point of the arms to the platform. The atomizers and arms are powered by low voltage direct current (DC) motors that can utilize solar power via photovoltaic cells such that the apparatus can be employed in remote locations without the need for a centralized power grid.
Abstract: A method of multi-platform social media advertising and revenue sharing via digital overlays on real-time video feeds enables a host streamer profile to select and display one or more advertisement elements on a real-time video feed, which is broadcast on a host social media platform in addition to being broadcast to one or more third-party platforms. The advertisements may be chosen through various means and customized by advertisers according to desired parameters. Each advertisement is associated with a financial compensation amount. After an advertisement or advertisements are displayed on the real-time video feed, the financial compensation amount is distributed among the host streamer profile, the host platform, and each of the at least one social media platform, thus incentivizing each to participate in the social media advertising and revenue sharing system.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides particles for delivering a nucleic acid that encodes an immunogenic peptide in an antigen presenting cell. The disclosed particles can function as a vaccine and can be used to treat or prevent a viral or bacterial infection in a subject by expressing in vivo an immunogenic peptide, thereby stimulating the subject's immune system to attack the virus or bacteria that naturally express the immunogenic peptide.
Abstract: A modular arrangement is provided for housing electronic equipment and associated cooling structure in a data center environment. The modular units provide cooling air on an as—needed basis to individual pieces of equipment by way of individual plenums and associated valves. The units can be interconnected by vertical stacking, in side-to-side arrangements, and back-to-back arrangements. A number of units can be interconnected to form a cell. The cells can be interconnected to form larger units. In this manner, data centers can be configured in any desired arrangement without requiring complicated cooling design.
Abstract: A dielectric assembly solid dielectric elements within a liquid or solid matrix material. The dielectric assembly may be manufactured by pressing a dielectric powder to form pressed dielectric elements, sintering the pressed dielectric elements to form the solid dielectric elements, and assembling the solid dielectric elements within the matrix material to form the dielectric assembly. The solid dielectric elements can be specifically oriented (e.g., in one or more tiled layers) or randomly oriented, and the dielectric assemblies can be molded and/or machined into desired 3D geometries. The dielectric assemblies can be relatively large (e.g., >1 mm3) while having bulk dielectric constants higher than conventional slurries and composites formed of dielectric powder in a liquid or solid matrix.
