  • Patent number: 10565523
Abstract: A computer-implemented method that includes a computing system receiving a plurality of data items that include content data. The system then generates a first inference model based on the received content data. The system also receives metadata associated with respective data items and then generates a second inference model based on the received metadata data. The system further determines, based on the first inference model, a first weight parameter associated with the content data, and determines, based on the second inference model, a second weight parameter associated with the metadata. The system then generates a classification model for determining a classification of at least one data item of the plurality of data items. The classification model is generated based on at least one of the first weight parameter or the second weight parameter.

  • Patent number: 10564580
Abstract: A fixing device includes a flexible rotating fixing belt, a pressing member, a heating part, a guide member and a contact force changing part. The pressing member forms a pressing area with the fixing belt. The heating part heats the fixing belt from an outside of the fixing belt. The guide member comes into contact with an inner circumferential face of the fixing belt to support the fixing belt so as to face the heating part. The contact force changing part moves the guide member in directions close to or away from the fixing belt to change a contact force between the guide member and the fixing belt depending on a pressure of the pressing area.

  • Patent number: 10567610
Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of improving the convenience of standard functions that are used often. A storage unit stores correlated-operation information, in which correlated operations that are correlated with a document-placement plate and the contact glass respectively as document placement locations, is registered for each user. A correlated-operation-executing unit references correlated-operation information of a user authenticated by a user-authenticating unit. The correlated-operation-executing unit executes a correlated operation correlated with placement of a document on the document-placement plate when a placement-detecting sensor detects placement of a document on the document-placement plate. The correlated-operation-executing unit executes a correlated operation correlated with placement of a document on the contact glass when an open/closed-detecting sensor detects opening/closing of a pressure plate.

  • Patent number: 10565344
Abstract: Disclosed techniques conform standard cells in an integrated circuit design into a valid template pattern using a template-based approach to standard cell design. The template architecture stores valid patterns of circuit elements for the design. A Boolean expression comprising an aggregated set of Boolean assertions can be generated for each different combination of cell shape features and edge locations with the cell design to compute a solution that matches with a valid pattern in one of the templates. If the solution evaluates to a Boolean TRUE result, the cell shape(s) can be modified in accordance with the solution. If not, the granularity can be updated by incrementing an “adjustment neighborhood” value and iterating the computations for shape features and edge locations using the updated values for the analysis until a Boolean TRUE result is found or it is determined there is no solution for the set of expressions.

  • Patent number: 10565475
Abstract: A device receives images of a video stream, models for objects in the images, and physical property data for the objects, and maps the models and the physical property data to the objects in the images to generate augmented data sequences. The device applies different physical properties to the objects in the augmented data sequences to generate augmented data sequences with different applied physical properties, and trains a machine learning (ML) model based on the images to generate a first trained ML model. The device trains the ML model, based on the augmented data sequences with the different applied physical properties, to generate a second trained ML model, and compares the first trained ML model and the second trained ML model. The device determines whether the second trained ML model is optimized based on the comparison, and provides the second trained ML model when optimized.

  • Patent number: 10564285
Abstract: Techniques of tracking an object involve a Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) system. The LIDAR system can be configured to track an object over a period of time, during which the object is moving. Using the LIDAR system tracking of the object can be performed while eliminating illumination hardware (e.g., video camera hardware). Accordingly, the LIDAR system can be configured to operate in total darkness, into the sun, etc. The LIDAR system can be less susceptible to motion of the object than conventional systems. Accordingly, the full rigid-body motion of the object can be determined in some implementations solely from LIDAR measurements, without, for example, video.
