    Abstract: Boost regulators with dynamic regulation band are disclosed. In certain configurations, a boost regulator system includes a field effect transistor (FET) current source having a gate controlled by a current level control signal, a source that receives a regulator output voltage, and a drain that outputs a current. The boost regulator system further includes a boost regulator that generates the regulator output voltage based on a reference voltage. The boost regulator includes a headroom detection circuit electrically coupled to the drain of the FET current source and operable to generate a headroom signal indicating a detected voltage headroom of the FET current source. The boost regulator further includes a regulator control circuit that controls a voltage level of the reference voltage based on the headroom signal, and that controls a size of a regulation band of the boost regulator based on the current level control signal.

    Abstract: Described herein are variants of alpha-hemolysin having at least one amino acid substitution at H35G, E111N, M113A, and/or K147N in the mature, wild-type alpha-hemolysin amino acid sequence. In certain examples, the variant may have a substitution at E111S, M113S, T145S, K147S, or L1351 in the mature alpha-hemolysin amino acid sequence. The a-hemolysin variants may also include a substitution at H144A and/or a series of glycine residues spanning residues 127 to 131 of the mature, wild-type alpha hemolysin. Also provided are nanopore assemblies including the alpha-hemolysin variants, the assembly having an increased nanopore lifetime. Further, provided are variants that, in addition to providing increased lifetime, provide a decreased time-to-thread. Hence, the variants provided herein both increase nanopore lifetime and improve efficiency and accuracy of DNA sequencing reactions using nanopores comprising the variants.

The method may also include taking a first scan (e.g., an extraoral scan) of the anatomical healing cap before seating the anatomical healing cap into the subgingival void of the given tooth position, where the anatomical healing cap is coupled to an implant disposed adjacent the anatomical healing cap. Further, the method can involve taking a second scan (e.g., an intraoral scan) of the anatomical healing cap and surrounding surfaces, and then integrating the two scans into an overall oral cavity scan. Reference points from the first scan may be used to align the second scan with the first scan, integrating the two together.

In some embodiments, a hydrophobic dielectric sealing material may include: H3BO3 10-60 mol %; Bi2O3 10-50 mol %; MO 10-50 mol %; SiO2 0-15 mol %; and optionally one or more rare earth oxides 0-5 mol %. A method for making hydrophobic sealing material includes selecting water insoluble raw materials, form tetragonal phase dominated phase, and enlarge band-gap with wide-band-gap material. The morphology of the sealing material is preferably a tetrahedral phase dominated covalent bond network for obtaining high electrical insulation resistance, dielectric strength and hydrophobicity, and high mechanical strength in against downhole 30,000 PSI/300° C. water-based hostile environments.

At first power-on, the control portion starts driving the image carrying members and the intermediate transfer belt in the all-color apart state, then transits to the all-color pressure state, and then ejects toner from the developing device to the image carrying members to reduce the surface friction coefficient on the image carrying members and the intermediate transfer belt.

    Abstract: A PON system comprising multiple PONs, each having a respective intelligent splitter monitor (ISM). These ISM functionalities enable the network operator, e.g., to automatically map PON connectivity, pairing each port on the splitter with a distinct optical network unit.
