Abstract: Improved linearity performance for radio-frequency (RF) switches. In some embodiments, a switching device can include a first terminal and a second terminal, and a plurality of switching elements connected in series to form a stack between the first terminal and the second terminal. The switching elements can have a non-uniform distribution of a parameter that results in the stack having a first linearity performance that is better than a second linearity performance corresponding to a similar stack having a substantially uniform distribution of the parameter.

Abstract: An ‘L’ shaped dynamically configurable impedance matching circuit is presented herein. The circuit can include a series element and a shunt element. The shunt element in the L-shaped impedance matching circuit can be moved or modified based on the impedance of the circuit elements in electrical communication with each side of the impedance matching circuit. Thus, in some cases, the impedance matching circuit may be a flexible circuit that can be dynamically modified based on the environment or configuration of the wireless device that includes the impedance matching circuit.

Abstract: A DC-DC converter includes a directly coupled inductor with coil elements and power-switching phases. Each phase includes a high-side and low-side switch, where the high-side switch couples a voltage source to a coil element and the low-side switch couples the coil element to a ground voltage. Each switch is configured to be alternately activated and no two switches are activated at the same time. A current sensor for the DC-DC converter includes a single current amplifier having inputs and an output. The output provides a current sensing signal. The current sensor also includes a single RC network coupled to one of the power-switching phases and a first input of the current amplifier. The current sensor also includes a resistive ladder. The ladder includes, for each of the other power-switching phases, a resistor coupled in parallel to the RC network resistor and to a second input of the current amplifier.
Abstract: An array can include a controller and multiple storage devices of a first type. When a storage device of the first type is replaced by a replacement storage device of a second type, and other storage devices of the first type remain in the array, the controller instructs the replacement storage device to configure itself as a storage device of the first type. When the last storage device of the first type in the array is replaced by a replacement storage device of the second type, the controller instructs all the storage devices of the array to configure themselves as storage devices of the second type.
Abstract: A voltage converter can be switched among two or more modes to produce an output voltage tracking a reference voltage that can be of an intermediate level between discrete levels corresponding to the modes. One or more voltages generated from a power supply voltage, such as a battery voltage, can be compared with the reference voltage to determine whether to adjust the mode. The reference voltage can be independent of the power supply voltage. Further, the voltage converter may implement frequency modulation and a pulse skipping mode to improve the efficiency of switching operational states of the voltage converter.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a touch device, and more particularly to a pattern of a capacitive touch device and a manufacturing method thereof. The pattern of the capacitive touch device comprises of a substrate, two adjacent first axial electrodes, a first axial conductive wire, and a pair of metal jumpers. The first axial conductive wire is disposed between the two adjacent first axial electrodes for connecting the two adjacent first axial electrodes. The pair of metallic metal jumpers is disposed on the connecting points of the two first axial electrodes and the first axial conductive wire. Accordingly, resistance caused by the connecting points of the two adjacent first axial electrodes and the first axial conductive wire can be reduced such that response speed of the pattern of the capacitive touch control device is increased.
Abstract: A system to remotely configure an aftermarket interface module using a graphical user interface (“GUI”) is disclosed. The system includes a GUI adapted to display on a computer. The GUI permits a user to select a vehicle model, year and make to determine the functions of the OEM controls. In addition, the GUI permits a user to select an aftermarket electronics brand and model that the OEM controls will operate. The user selects a particular control signal configuration using the GUI for each of the OEM controls. An interface module is flash programmed with the particular control signal configuration. The interface module is connected to the OEM controls and the aftermarket electronics, where the interface module receives the OEM control signals and controls the aftermarket electronics using the particular control signal configuration.
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided that minimize the effects of dark-current pulses. For example, in one embodiment of the invention, a method is provided where a first pixel is struck (i.e., a primary pixel). Pixels struck within a fixed time frame after the primary pixel is struck are referred to as secondary pixels. After a short fixed time frame has expired, the number of primary and secondary pixels is added. If the count exceeds a threshold, the primary pixel was activated by the first (or early) photon from a true gamma event. If the threshold is not met then it is likely the primary pixel generated a dark pulse that should be ignored.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a manufacturing method for a touch panel comprising: disposing an electrode layer extending from touch area of a substrate to periphery area of the substrate, wherein the periphery area surrounds the periphery of the touch area. The method further includes disposing an insulation layer in the periphery area of the substrate to form a shielding layer, making the shielding layer cover the overlapping electrode in the periphery area and making the electrode layer of the touch area and the overlapping electrode locate on the same layer of the substrate so as to avoid fluctuation of resistance value in the electrode layer due to height difference. Meanwhile, adopting the disposition method also maintains insulating performance of the shielding layer. The present disclosure also provides a touch panel made by the manufacturing method.

Abstract: Monitoring systems and methods for use in security, safety, and business process applications utilizing a correlation engine are disclosed. Sensory data from one or more sensors are captured and analyzed to detect one or more events in the sensory data. The events are correlated by a correlation engine, optionally by weighing the events based on attributes of the sensors that were used to detect the primitive events. The events are then monitored for an occurrence of one or more correlations of interest, or one or more critical events of interest. Finally, one or more actions are triggered based on a detection of one or more correlations of interest, one or more anomalous events, or one or more critical events of interest. Events may come from sensory devices, legacy systems, third-party systems, anonymous tips, and other data sources. The present invention may be used to increase business productivity by improving security, safety, and increasing profitability of business processes.

Abstract: A disposable, sterile guide constructed of medically-acceptable plastic used for compartmentalizing and therefore protecting the ligament or fascia during three different orthopedic surgical procedures: ECTR, ECuTR, and EPFR. This device reduces the risk of damage to any other part of the surrounding anatomy. The device is disposable and packaged so as to be sterile and therefore readily usable by the surgeon means that it can reduce the risk of infection and is a less expensive alternative to traditional non-disposable, metal instruments that must be sterilized prior to each procedure.

In a case where a sheet through which punch holes have been formed is to be ejected on the ejection tray without being subjected to post-processing on the processing tray, in a state where the stiffening member is retracted in a direction away from the sheet, the conveyance roller pair conveys the sheet until at least a tip end thereof reaches on the ejection tray.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for decarbonizing gases using pressure swing in a first and second pressure vessel that each comprise a fixed bed sorbent. Syngas and steam are received in the first pressure vessel. A carbonation reaction is performed in the first pressure vessel that reacts carbonaceous species in the received syngas with the received steam to produce carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Decarbonated syngas is exhausted from first pressure vessel. A calcination reaction is performed in the second pressure vessel to produce carbon dioxide. A vacuum is provided to the second pressure vessel that causes carbon dioxide to exhaust from the second pressurized vessel at a pressure that substantially follows the decomposition pressure line.
