  • Patent number: 9427979
Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance section, and a negative pressure applying section. The recording head ejects ink onto a recording medium. The conveyance section conveys the recording medium placed on a conveying surface thereof to the recording head. The negative pressure applying section includes an airflow chamber and causes the recording medium to be sucked onto the conveying surface by negative pressure through holes in an upper wall of the airflow chamber and holes in the conveying surface. Negative pressure applied through first holes in a first region is greater than that applied through second holes in a second region. The first region is located upstream of a head facing region in a conveyance direction of the recording medium. The second region is located downstream of the first region in the conveyance direction of the recording medium and includes the head facing region.

  • Patent number: 9430579
Abstract: A system comprises a first workstation that locally instantiates a design tool configured to allow a designer to specify a design for a web page. A data store is locally available to the first workstation, and receives and stores the design as a saved design. A second workstation provides access to a code editor to allow a programmer to specify a modification to an encoding of the design. A server means instantiates the code editor for the second workstation, saves the modification as a saved modification, and serves the encoding of the design in accordance with the modification by combining the saved modification with the saved design. The server means seamlessly combines the saved design and the saved modification such that the saved modification and the saved design can each be independently altered and recombined to produce a modified encoding of the design.

  • Patent number: 9430661
Abstract: There is provided an image forming apparatus that eliminates the need for separately preparing an encrypted file for each user. To achieve this, the image forming apparatus performs control of browsing of a browsing file that is browsed at a terminal. The document acquisition portion of the image forming apparatus acquires document data. The document encryption portion encrypts the document data with a public key as the browsing file. The position information setting portion sets position information to permit browsing of the browsing file encrypted by the document encryption portion in a viewer for causing the browsing file to be browsed at the terminal. In the case where it has been determined that the position information coincides with a current position, a browsing execution portion at the terminal uses a secret key to decrypt the browsing file for causing it to be browsed.

  • Patent number: 9429635
Abstract: Embodiments relate to evaluating properties of tissues with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A MR image is used to measure a characteristic that influences a particular chemical property of a tissue. In an exemplary embodiment, tissue transverse relaxation values or relaxation rates, which can readily be measured from MR images, are used to evaluate iron deposition in tissue. Iron deposition influences the tissue transverse relaxation values (T2 or T2*) or relaxation rates (R2=1/T2 or R2*=1/T2*). A clinically relevant R2CR* map is calculated based on the known values of the effective R2eff*, the water R2w*, and the fat R2f* by incorporating the most relevant value for each individual image element of a plurality of image elements of an MR image of the tissue. The clinically relevant R2CR* map provides an accurate evaluation of iron deposition in any region of the tissue with the use of one map.
