Abstract: A reductant system for an aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The reductant system includes at least one reductant feed line and a reductant system component such as a dosing module. The feed line is connected to the dosing module with a fluid connector. The fluid connector includes a body made from a first material that has a low heat conductivity and an insert made from a second material that has a greater heat conductivity than that of the first material. The insert extends from the body of the fluid connector into a storage chamber of the dosing module, and conducts heat from heated reductant in the feed line to the reductant stored in the storage chamber.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for application controlled network selection between a broadband network and a narrowband network include operating an application with an end device with a narrowband connection to the end device; acquiring a source broadband connection comprising a source broadband network address; negotiating a peer-to-peer broadband connection with the end device utilizing the narrowband connection to communicate the source broadband network address; utilizing the peer-to-peer broadband connection for data associated with the application responsive to successful negotiating; and managing the peer-to-peer broadband connection using the narrowband connection as a control channel therefor. The narrowband connection can include Digital Mobile Radio (DMR), Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Project 25 (P25), Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), or the like.

Abstract: An engine manifold adapter fluidly interconnects a fluid port of an internal combustion engine to a cylindrical conduit. The adapter comprises a stem portion extending for a flange portion. The stem portion has a pair of oppositely disposed openings formed therein. One of the openings is configured to conform to the fluid port and the other of the openings is configured to accommodate press fitting of the cylindrical conduit onto the other of the openings. A line of sight is formed between the openings. In one embodiment, the fluid port is an exhaust port and the cylindrical conduit is an exhaust pipe.

Abstract: Disclosed is an NDT/NDI probe array and manufacturing method. The probe array includes a sheet of flexible circuit 10 with a plurality of lower pins 102 and corresponding, electrically connected, upper pins 104. The probe further comprises a backing block 12, a layer of piezoelectric ceramic 16 having a plurality of conductive elements 162, a matching layer 18 and a frame 14. An adhesive material such as epoxy is applied to the circuit, the backing, the ceramic and the matching layer, and all are aligned and stack pressed at least partially into the frame and permanently bonded in such a fashion that each of the lower pins of the flexible circuit is firmly and permanently in contact with a corresponding one of the conductive elements of the ceramic.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method that can analyze a target easily utilizing binding nucleic acid molecules and an analysis kit for use in the method. The analysis method of the present invention includes: a complex formation step of causing a binding nucleic acid molecule that binds to the target and a sample to come into contact with each other to form a complex of the binding nucleic acid molecule and the target in the sample; a nuclease treatment step of releasing a nucleic acid monomer from at least one of a complex fraction and a non-complex fraction by a nuclease treatment; an enzyme treatment step of reacting the released nucleic acid monomer with an enzyme for which the nucleic acid monomer is a substrate; a detection step of detecting the enzyme reaction; and an analysis step of analyzing the target that has formed the complex from the result of detecting the enzyme reaction.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier, a conveyance belt, a transfer roller, a suspension roller, and a conductive opposed member. The conveyance belt is in contact with the image carrier to form a nip and conveys a sheet via the nip position. A voltage of reversed polarity to a charge polarity of toner forming the toner image is applied to the transfer roller to transfer the toner image to the sheet at the nip position. A suspension roller suspends the conveyance belt at a separation position. The separation position is downstream with respect to the nip position in a sheet conveyance direction. The separation position is positioned where the sheet separates from the conveyance belt. The voltage of reversed polarity to the charge polarity of the toner is applied to the suspension roller. The conductive opposed member is arranged opposed to the suspension roller across the conveyance belt.

Abstract: A display input device includes a display unit, a touch panel unit, a control unit, and a storage unit that stores therein number-of-times information that indicates number of times each of previously determined soft keys has been used. When a frequently-used key display operation is performed on the touch panel unit, the control unit selects soft keys ranging from a soft key of the highest order that has been used the largest number of times to a soft key of a predetermined order as frequently-used keys, and the display unit collectively displays the frequently-used keys on a currently displayed screen.

Abstract: Provided is a tip indicator that enables reduced manufacturing costs with a simple configuration, can be made lighter in weight, and is capable of detecting tipping over of a packaging box and the like. This tip indicator is fixed to a packaging box and is equipped with a main body that has a passage section and a moving object. The passage section has a first holding part and a second holding part. The moving object is held by the first holding part when the main body is in an initial position, and the moving object moves through the passage section and is held by the second holding part when the main body has returned to the initial position after having been turned by 90 degrees in a first direction and then by 90 degrees in a second direction, that is, a direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an upright liquid filtration vacuum cleaner includes a vacuum nozzle head and a housing moveably coupled to the vacuum nozzle head. The vacuum cleaner further includes a liquid tank that includes a wall defining an interior volume and a tank intake channel positioned in the interior volume. The interior volume is configured to hold a liquid. The tank intake channel is positioned to direct debris received from an intake passageway into the liquid tank so that the liquid in the interior volume of the liquid tank filters the debris into the liquid so that clean air is exhausted. The vacuum cleaner further includes a separator configured to generate an airflow. The vacuum cleaner is configured to seal the intake passageway when the vacuum cleaner is deactivated and further configured to unseal the intake passageway when the vacuum cleaner is activated.

Abstract: An Interleaved Radio Frequency Digital-to-Analog Converter (RF DAC) suitable for use in cellular base stations and optimized to give both a wide RF tuning range and a wide RF bandwidth is disclosed. The RF DAC uses two levels of interleaving, the first providing a direct conversion path from Base Band (BB) to RF, and the second providing a variable interleaving factor through the use of summation to optimize the output bandwidth as a function of the RF center frequency. Digital Interpolation, including an arbitrary sample rate conversion filter, allows the RF DAC to operate from a wide range of possible BB sample rates and the DAC sample rate is a fixed ratio of the RF center frequency. As a result, the spurious outputs from the RF DAC are in known locations that are relatively easy to filter out, minimizing the frequency planning tasks required for a complete RF system design.

Abstract: A tray system for display, storage and transportation of bottles includes a first tray having a plurality of stacking units. Each stacking unit can include a lower receptacle for receiving a neck portion of a first bottle. Each stacking unit can also include an upper receptacle for receiving a base portion of a second bottle to be stacked vertically above a first bottle. The lower receptacle can include a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a sidewall connecting the first end with the second end. The first end forms an opening for receiving a neck of the first bottle into the lower receptacle. The lower receptacle further includes a protective element. The protective element can be attached to the lower receptacle to provide a protective guard between the lower receptacle and a shoulder portion of the first bottle received in the lower receptacle.

Abstract: A post-processing device includes a device main body, a processing tray, a placed sheet processing part, a stack tray, a detecting part, a stack tray driving part and a sheet conveying part. The processing part carries out post-process to the sheet placed on the processing tray. The stack tray stacks the sheet ejected from a sheet ejection port. The detecting part detects whether or not the stack tray or the sheet on the stack tray is positioned at a detected position below the sheet ejection port. When the sheet is ejected without the post-process, in a detectable case, the conveying part ejects the sheet without placing on the processing tray and, in an undetectable case, the conveying part places the sheet on the processing tray without ejecting to the stack tray until it becomes detectable, and then, ejects the sheet on the processing tray after it becomes detectable.
