Abstract: It is possible to accurately convey information relevant to a long period ground motion to a person staying on each floor of a building. A system 1 for communicating information relating to a long period ground motion acquires information indicating a floor on which a user stays in a building at which the user stays, information relevant to a position and a structure of the building, and information relevant to a state of an earthquake that occurs, and calculates a state of shaking that occurs on the floor of the building at which the user stays due to the long period ground motion to be communicated to the user through a user terminal 3, and thus, information relevant to the long period ground motion can be obtained through the user terminal 3 that the user has.
Abstract: Provided is an industrial printing system that reduces the risk of delay due to proofreading in variable printing. This industrial printing system processes variable data for production printing. The status management unit manages the completion status of a plurality of records or a plurality of pages for the variable printing. A process control unit collectively acquires completed record(s) or completed page(s) managed by the status management unit and creates a job ticket. A process management unit performs a prepress process or a printing process by using a job ticket created by the process control unit. A post-processing unit performs post-processing according to the job ticket for a record or a page that has been performed prepress process or printing process by the process management unit.

Abstract: An example mount may include a strap (or any other type of clamping mechanism) engaging with an external surface of an antenna. The strap may be connected to a strap base with a canted wall also engaging with the external surface of the antenna. The engagement of the canted wall may be through an abutment of the canted wall against the corresponding external surface of the antenna at a single point or along a single line. Because the entirety of the canted wall does not have to be flush with the corresponding external surface of the antenna, the mount can couple to any kind of antenna form factor, such as curved antennas and antennas with imperfections and protrusions.

Abstract: A security article includes an optical component that includes a plurality of optical channels with a Fano resonance characteristic. An optical channel, of the plurality of optical channels, is configured to pass a first portion of a first set of light beams (that are associated with a first wavelength range) when the first set of light beams falls incident on at least one of a first surface or a second surface of the optical channel, reflect a second portion of the first set of light beams when the first set of light beams falls incident on the first surface of the optical channel, and reflect at least a portion of a second set of light beams (that are associated with a second wavelength range) when the second set of light beams falls incident on the second surface of the optical channel.
Abstract: Folder systems and related methods are provided for accurately and efficiently folding a paper carrier that has a card attached without bending or dislodging the card from the carrier. A movable fold chute receives a portion of the carrier with the card attached and allows the carrier to fold while protecting the card portion of the carrier. The fold chute moves between different positions which allow the carrier to enter and exit through folding rollers along a generally straight paper path without forcing the cards around small radii, thereby preventing damage to the cards or causing them to separate from the carrier sheet.
Abstract: An electrical connector assembling machine includes a connector strip feed unit including a feeding device configured to index the connector strip through a feed track in successive feed strokes and a contact loading assembly loading contacts into the connector strip. The contact loading assembly includes a wire distribution unit and a wire feed unit having a feeding device configured to simultaneously index wires through feed tracks in successive feed strokes. The wire feed unit includes a wire guide assembly guiding the wires through the wire feed unit. The contact loading assembly includes a contact forming unit and a contact loading device loading the contacts made from the wires into the connector strip as the connector strip is advanced through the electrical connector assembling machine.
