  • Patent number: 12185894
Abstract: A dishwasher appliance includes a metal rack. A housing and a cover on a side of the metal rack define a housing chamber. Within the housing chamber, one or more rotatable cams are present. Each cam includes a magnet within the cam and pivots about a shaft. Each cam may rotate from a passive position to a retaining position as a result of lifting of the metal rack, which attracts the magnet in each cam, pulling the cam into position. The rack is then lowered onto a retaining surface of each cam, the cam supporting the rack in the raised position.

  • Patent number: 12191658
Abstract: A battery-powered node includes a primary cell, a secondary cell, and a battery controller. The battery controller includes a current source that draws power from the primary cell to charge the secondary cell. The battery-powered node draws power from the secondary cell across a wide range of current levels. When the voltage of the secondary cell drops beneath a minimum voltage level, the current source charges the secondary cell at a constant current level and a charging signal is sent to the battery-powered node. When the voltage of the second cell exceeds a maximum voltage level, the current source stops charging the secondary cell and the charging signal is terminated. The battery-powered node records the amount of time the charging signal is active, which can be used to determine a battery depletion level for the primary cell. Battery replacement may then be efficiently scheduled based on the depletion level.

  • Patent number: 12188986
Abstract: An apparatus which diagnoses a battery by detecting an abnormal voltage drop phenomenon of a battery cell includes a voltage measuring circuit, a current measuring circuit, a voltage estimating circuit, and a control circuit. The voltage measuring circuit measures a voltage across both terminals of a battery cell. The current measuring circuit measures the current flowing through either terminal of a battery cell. The voltage estimating circuit, based on current and a status estimation model, calculates an estimated voltage level. The diagnostic circuit calculates a voltage level difference between a voltage level measured by the voltage measuring circuit and an estimated voltage level, and, based on the voltage level difference and a reference value, determines whether or not an error has occurred in the battery cell. The control circuit includes a control circuit which, according to an estimation accuracy of the estimated voltage level, adjusts a reference value.
