Abstract: A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an electrode assembly to which an electrode lead is attached, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, a sealing portion formed to seal the electrode assembly in the case, and a lead film surrounding a portion of the outer surface of the electrode lead and interposed between the electrode lead and the sealing portion. At least a partial region of an edge portion facing the electrode assembly in the lead film is non-linear.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and controllers for detecting and mitigating well screen outs may include a controller configured to operate a fracturing pump to supply fluid at a discharge rate to a wellhead at a fracturing well site. The controller may also operate a blender positioned to deliver a blend of proppant and fluid to the fracturing pump. The controller may compare a fluid pressure increase rate to a preselected increase rate indicative of a potential well screen out. The controller may incrementally decrease the discharge rate of the fracturing pump and a flow rate of a blender when the fluid pressure increase rate of the wellhead exceeds the preselected increase rate and the fluid pressure is within a preselected percentage of a maximum wellhead pressure until the fluid pressure of the fluid supplied to the wellhead is stabilized.

The first measurement device acquires an inner start point and an outer end point of the sealing part. The origin point structure has a vertical reference surface corresponding to a point moved by a predetermined first distance (X1) in a direction of the electrode assembly accommodation part from a first reference origin point (O1) disposed between the inner start point and the outer end point. The second measurement device acquires a second distance (X2) from the vertical reference surface to the electrode assembly accommodation part. The controller acquires the sealing gap based on the first distance (X1), the second distance (X2), and a third distance (X3) from the inner start point to the first reference origin point (O1).

Abstract: A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a first conveying member, a processing tray, a first processing unit, a reference plate, an alignment member, a home-position detection unit, a drive unit, and a control portion. The alignment member has a shaft joined to a drive unit to rotate, and one or more alignment paddles protruding in a radial direction of the shaft. The control portion calculates a contact assumed interval in which the trailing end of the sheets may make contact with the alignment paddle and an interference timing at which the alignment paddle interferes with a carry-in path of the sheets. If the interference timing falls within the contact assumed interval, the control portion temporarily changes the rotation speed of the alignment member from a reference speed to shift the phase of the alignment paddle so that the interfere timing falls outside the contact assumed interval.

The colorimetric radiation detector also includes a metal oxyhalide that reaches an excited state on exposure to x-ray or ultraviolet radiation. The detector also includes a dye or where the metal oxyhalide is a bismuth oxyhalide, such as a bismuth oxychloride. The dye may include a redox reactive dye. The redox reactive dye may include Rhodamine B. The dye undergoes a permanent color change by reacting with the metal oxyhalide when the metal oxyhalide is exposed to x-ray or ultraviolet radiation. The dye may include a fluorescent dye, such as a fluorescein dye, such as 6-carboxy fluorescein or 5-carboxy fluorescein. The solvent may include a Lewis base solvent. The Lewis base solvent may include water or an alcohol. A method for evaluating a photoprotective topical lotion is also disclosed.

The VDGS is configured to detect the presence of the aircraft approaching the stand, identify at least the type of the approaching aircraft, determine a position of the approaching aircraft, output a visual guidance information via a display to the pilot of the aircraft, which supports the pilot during controlling movement of the aircraft to a stop position.
