Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of an aqueous dispersion of halogenated vinyl polymers by polymerization, according to which, after polymerization, a basic agent is added in an amount such that the pH of the aqueous dispersion is less than approximately 5. The invention also relates to the aqueous dispersion obtained, which can be coated onto polymeric substrates made of paper or of regenerated cellulose.

Abstract: Composition comprising one or more polymers and one or more substances selected from telomers having a number average degree of telomerization of less than or equal to 8.0 (substances A) and optionally from substances such as diesters of phthalic acid or diesters of saturated aliphatic ?,?-dicarboxylic acids (substances B), the weight of substance(s) A plus substance(s) B together relative to the weight of the composition being greater than 20%, on the one hand, and the weight of substance(s) A relative to the weight of substance(s) A plus substance(s) B together being greater than 20%, on the other hand. Articles or parts of articles manufactured using this composition.
Abstract: An extrusion head for the manufacture of tubes including at least one layer of expanded plastic by extruding a stream of molten plastic containing a blowing agent through an annular passage cross section made in the extrusion head. The stream of molten plastic containing the blowing agent spreads out circumferentially and welds itself to itself by the recombining of the two stream fronts. The extrusion head is equipped with a special-purpose thermal regulation device allowing the molten plastic containing the blowing agent to be heated or cooled after the stream fronts have recombined.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1-chloro-1-fluoroethane and 1,1-difluoroethane by reaction of vinyl chloride with hydrogen fluoride, in an organic solvent consisting of at least one saturated halogen-containing hydrocarbon.
Abstract: Multilayer polymer structures comprising a layer (A) based on at least one halohydrocarbon polymer linked to a layer (C) based on at least one olefin polymer via a layer (B) containing from 100% to 10% by weight of at least one grafted olefin polymer and from 0 to 90% by weight of at least one halohydrocarbon polymer, the grafted olefin polymer being obtained by grafting a polymerizable monomer, a functional oligomer or a functional telomer onto a preactivated olefin polymer; process for obtaining them and use thereof.
