Abstract: An electronic device, preferably in the form of a mobile phone, comprising a support structure and a camera carried by the support structure. An orientation detector is connected to the camera. The orientation detector is configured to identify images features in an image captured by the camera, such as the eyes and the mouth of the user, and to determine rotation orientation of the image relative to a reference orientation. A display carried by the support structure is configured to display a data representation, and further to display this data representation in an orientation dependent on the determined rotation orientation. This way a data presentation can e.g. be displayed in a portrait orientation or in a landscape orientation in dependence of which rotational orientation the device is currently held in when the data representation is viewed by a user of the electronic device.
Abstract: An assembly may include information that includes a first plurality of stripes making up a first icon and a second plurality of stripes making up a second icon. The assembly may include an actuator configured to displace the information to a first position in response to a change in length of a first wire to displace the information to a second position in response to a change in length of a second wire. The assembly may include a lenticular lens configured to display the first icon to a user when the actuator is in the first position, and to display the second icon to the user when the actuator is in the second position.
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing and an arrangement. The arrangement includes microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) or a piezoelectric element or a combination thereof, configured to displace a temperature controlling medium. The electrical connector also includes at least one opening in the housing for transporting the temperature controlling medium displaced by the arrangement through the opening.
Abstract: A method of conducting a search using a mobile electronic device may include playing digital audio content at the mobile electronic device, and accepting user input at the mobile electronic device to capture a portion of the digital audio content. Search criteria may be provided wherein the search criteria is based on the captured portion of the digital audio content and on information separate from the captured portion of the digital audio content. A search may be conducted using the search criteria based on the captured portion of the digital audio content and on the information separate from the captured portion of the digital audio content. A result of the search may be provided at the mobile electronic device, and the result of the search may be displayed at the mobile electronic device.
Abstract: A method for generating an audio signal of a user is provided. According to the method, a first audio signal inside of an ear of the user and a second audio signal outside of the ear is detected. The first audio signal and the second audio signal comprise at least a voice signal component generated by the user. Depending on the first audio signal the second audio signal is processed and output as the audio signal.
Abstract: A method for changing an operating mode of a mobile device is provided. According to the method, a request from the user of the mobile device to change from a first operating mode to a second operating mode is received. In response to the received request a credential is requested from the user. Next, the credential (RCK) is received from the user and validated. If the received credential (RCK) is valid, the second operating mode is set and an indication of the mobile device indicating that the second operating mode has been set is set. If the second operating mode has been set, a reset of the indication is prohibited.

At least one curved edge may be arranged between the first edge and the second edge. At least one elongated slot that is substantially perpendicular to the second edge may originates from a transition portion between the at least one curved edge and the second edge.
Abstract: Methods for distributing media content between portable electronic devices enabled for media acquisition and wireless communication are disclosed. The methods comprises forming of a group of the portable electronic devices being present at a common context, providing a piece of media content to other members of the group, and collecting a piece of media content from other members of the group, respectively. Apparatuses, i.e. portable electronic devices, suitable for such media content distribution, as computer programs for implementing the media content distribution on such apparatuses, are also disclosed.
Abstract: Methods for tracking usage of a network by a plurality of users of a mobile phone include associating a plurality of user accounts with the mobile phone, where ones of the plurality of user accounts correspond to ones of the plurality of users of the mobile phone. Usage of the network by the mobile phone is automatically attributed to one of the plurality of user accounts responsive to receiving identifying information for a corresponding one of the plurality of users of the mobile phone. Charges for the one of the plurality of user accounts are calculated based on the usage attributed to the one of the plurality of user accounts. Related devices and computer program products are also discussed.

Abstract: Volume control circuits for use in electronic devices are provided. Some embodiments of the present invention provide volume control circuits for use in electronic devices. The volume control circuits include a gain circuit, a limiter circuit, a power measurement circuit and a gain adjustment circuit. The gain circuit is configured to receive an input audio signal and amplify the input audio signal based on a gain. The limiter circuit is configured to limit the amplified input audio signal based on a peak safety limit and output an output audio signal having a peak value based on the peak safety limit. The power measurement circuit is configured to measure a power level of the output audio signal. The power level has an associated power safety limit. The gain adjustment circuit is configured to adjust the gain of the gain circuit responsive to the measured power. Related methods and electronic devices are also provided herein.

Abstract: A portable communication device is disclosed. The portable communication device comprises a speaker adapted to be held to an ear of a user for conveying sound to the user, at least one sensor for sensing sound emanating from said sound conveyed to the user, and a control unit. The control unit is adapted to estimate, based on an electrical input signal supplied to an input port of the speaker and an electrical output signal received from an output port of the at least one sensor, a transfer characteristic from the input port of the speaker to the output port of the sensor. Furthermore, the control unit is adapted to estimate, based on the estimated transfer characteristic, a degree of sound leakage from the user's ear. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
Abstract: A method of calibrating a first clock signal using a second clock signal and a plurality of calibration periods may include generating incremented counter values at a counter responsive to edges of the second clock signal. For at least two of the plurality of calibration periods, an initial incremented counter value from the counter may be stored in memory at an initial edge of the first clock signal for the respective calibration period, a final incremented counter value may be stored in memory at a final edge of the clock signal for the respective calibration period, and the at least two of the plurality of calibration periods may be overlapping with different initial and final edges of the first clock signal. The device may include an electroacoustic speaker transducer connected to the frontal body portion and arrangeable in a sound transmitting relationship to the user's ear canal when the device is carried by the human user. The speaker transducer may be rotatable about an axis which is arranged on a plane that is substantially parallel to the side of the head of the user when the device is carried by the human user.
