  • Patent number: 11688638
Abstract: A system to manufacture a plurality of dies may include an etching tool, an electrically-conductive-adhesive-composition, a heat-applying-extraction-tool and a porous substrate cooperating with an evacuation component. The etching tool uses an ion beam that is configured to singulate a plurality of dies on a wafer with an ion etching process. The electrically-conductive-adhesive-composition is located between the wafer and a porous substrate carrying the wafer during the ion etching process. The electrically-conductive-adhesive-composition adheres the wafer to the porous substrate to keep the dies in place during the ion etching process. The electrically-conductive-adhesive-composition also aids in conducting electrons away from the wafer as a drain during the ion etching process.

  • Patent number: 11674564
Abstract: A variety of transmissions, and improvements thereof, are provided having improved efficiency and other benefits. The transmissions include one or more inner members that are driven by one or more cams or other means to engage in precessional rotation about an axis of rotation that, itself, orbits about a primary axis of rotation. A plurality of shaped rollers are in contact with shaped cutouts on the inner member(s) and on a ground member such that an input rotation/torque applied via the cam is realized as an output rotation/torque at an output member that is coupled to the inner member(s). Tire rollers and contact surfaces are shaped such that the rollers engage in rolling motion relative to the contact surfaces, providing improved efficiency. Multiple inner members, and corresponding sets of shaped rollers, can be provided to increase power capacity, reduce torque ripple, reduce wobble, or provide other benefits.

  • Patent number: 11672829
Abstract: An example genetically engineered effector cell comprises an exogenous polynucleotide sequence that includes a receptor element, an actuator element, and an effector element. The receptor element encodes a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) comprising an extracellular antigen binding domain operably linked to a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular signaling domain, wherein the extracellular antigen binding domain recognizes an antigen on a surface of a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-infected cell. The actuator element encodes a transcription factor binding site that upregulates synthesis of an antiviral protein. The effector element encodes the antiviral protein operably linked to a signal peptide, wherein, in response to the antigen binding domain of the CAR binding to the antigen of SARS-CoV-2-infected cell, the engineered effector cell is configured to activate and, to synthesize and secrete the antiviral protein.

  • Patent number: 11676296
Abstract: Techniques for augmenting a reality captured by an image capture device are disclosed. In one example, a system includes an image capture device that generates a two-dimensional frame at a local pose. The system further includes a computation engine executing on one or more processors that queries, based on an estimated pose prior, a reference database of three-dimensional mapping information to obtain an estimated view of the three-dimensional mapping information at the estimated pose prior. The computation engine processes the estimated view at the estimated pose prior to generate semantically segmented sub-views of the estimated view. The computation engine correlates, based on at least one of the semantically segmented sub-views of the estimated view, the estimated view to the two-dimensional frame. Based on the correlation, the computation engine generates and outputs data for augmenting a reality represented in at least one frame captured by the image capture device.

  • Patent number: 11676024
Abstract: Artificial neural network systems involve the receipt by a computing device of input data that defines a pattern to be recognized (such as faces, handwriting, and voices). The computing device may then decompose the input data into a first subband and a second subband, wherein the first and second subbands include different characterizing features of the pattern in the input data. The first and second subbands may then be fed into first and second neural networks being trained to recognize the pattern. Reductions in power expenditure, memory usage, and time taken, for example, allow resource-limited computing devices to perform functions they otherwise could not.

  • Patent number: 11568246
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for training a machine learning model to perform actions within an environment. In one example, an input device receives a declarative statement. A computation engine selects, based on the declarative statement, a template that includes a template action performable within the environment. The computation engine generates, based on the template, synthetic training episodes. The computation engine further generates experiential training episodes, each experiential training episode collected by a machine learning model from past actions performed by the machine learning model. Each synthetic training episode and experiential training episode comprises an action and a reward. A machine learning system trains, with the synthetic training episodes and the experiential training episodes, the machine learning model to perform the actions within the environment.

  • Patent number: 11566690
Abstract: A variety of transmission mechanisms are provided that include split pulleys nested within each other in order to reduce the size of the transmissions, to provide infinitely variable transmission ratios that include forward and reverse ratios, or to provide some other benefits. The transmissions include multiple inner split pulleys nested within an outer split pulley. Two, three, or more inner split pulleys can be disposed within the transmission to balance the mass of the inner split pulleys in order to reduce vibration and internal stresses experienced by the transmission. This can increase the lifespan of the transmission, reduce wear, and increase efficiency. Additionally, providing multiple inner split pulleys in a nested configuration can allow for reduction of loads transmitted through bearings of the transmission.
