Abstract: In the injection molding of undercut and continuously slotted duct sections from a plastic material where a multi-part mold structure including a core is used, the core of the mold structure is removed, after the injection molding operation, by cooling the plastic material used to a temperature below its softening temperature, releasing the bearing contact of the mold supporting the lateral exterior of the duct section and the exterior base of the duct section, providing a bearing contact with the surface of the duct section upwardly from its base with the bearing contact affording a force restraining the duct section from movement in the direction outwardly from the slotted opening of the duct, and pulling the core outwardly through the continuous slot while the bearing contact with the duct section holds it against displacement due to the pulling action.

Abstract: Clamping means are disclosed for connecting the lateral edges of the foot portion of a T-shaped rail to a support in such a manner as to permit limited separation between the rail and the support components while restraining the rail against lateral displacement relative to the support. Each clamping device is formed from a unitary resilient metal blank having a fastening portion secured to the support to prevent lateral displacement of the rail, a resilient blade portion for biasing the rail against the support, and at least one stop portion limiting the extent to which the rail may be separated from the support against the biasing force of the blade portion.
Abstract: Molding thermoformable textile fabric (knit, woven or otherwise), and particularly stretch fabric, into a permanent three-dimensional shape by vacuum-molding in a cavity in a vacuum mold, wherein flow of air through the fabric is blocked to enable it to be vacuum-formed by means of a layer of substantially air-impervious thermoformable sheet plastic material applied over the fabric. The plastic is heated to thermoforming temperature, the plastic and fabric are vacuum-formed in the mold, the molded plastic layer with the molded fabric thereon being removed from the mold and the molded plastic layer being utilized as a form for holding the molded fabric in its molded shape for a sufficient period of time to stabilize the fabric in its molded shape. The molded plastic layer is cooled within the mold via a flow of cooling air.
Abstract: A vehicle coupler in which at least one cable coupling box is mounted on the coupling head for cooperation with a like coupling box on another coupling head to effect coupling together of conduits, such as air and electric conduits, when the vehicle is coupled to another vehicle. The coupling head has guide rods extending in coupling direction on which the coupling box is slidably mounted. The connectors which connect the coupling box to the rods include elastic inserts permitting movement of the coupling box in the lateral direction of the guide rods to provide for alignment of the coupling box with the coupling box with which it cooperates.
Abstract: A hub unit is adapted to be connected to a vehicle wheel or axle for rotation therewith. A circular brake ring unit surrounds the hub unit and is divided into at least two parts located at opposite sides of the axis of the circular brake ring unit. Connecting elements dismountably mount the brake ring unit on the hub unit by releasably connecting together the two or more parts of the brake ring unit, whereby to permit separation of the parts of the brake ring unit to facilitate dismounting of the brake ring unit from the hub unit.
