Abstract: A coil and an electrical strip or electrical sheet with at least one heat-hardening hotmelt varnish, namely a baked enamel layer, provided on its flat sides, which has an epoxy resin base, at least one hardener, and at least one filler, are disclosed. In order to achieve a high storage stability and long-term temperature stability, the proposal is made for the filler of the baked enamel layer to have a metal carbonate, sulfate, sulfide, silicate, or phosphate or any mix of a plurality of these.
Abstract: A continuous strip method for producing an electric strip laminate which is wound into a coil is proposed in which at least two electric strips are pressed against each other on their flat sides and are integrally bonded to form an electric strip laminate and in a further step, this electric strip laminate is wound into a coil. More particularly, a first electric strip is coated on at least one of its flat sides with a first thermally activatable hot melt adhesive lacquer, the first hot melt adhesive lacquer on the first electric strip is thermally activated, and then the electric strips are pressed against each other on their flat sides with the activated first hot melt adhesive lacquer layer between these flat sides and a second electric strip is supplied to this pressing process at a temperature below the activation temperature of the first hot melt adhesive lacquer layer on the first electric strip.
Abstract: A structural support that can be used as a truss girder bridge crane, or the like. The support includes one or more rows 13 of segments 15, that are arranged in side by side relation along the length of the support. Each row 13 has extending there through at least one tensioning element 14 which is anchored at opposite ends of the row and is pretensioned with respect to the row in order to hold the segments of the row together. A support preferably includes one row 13 of segments 15 in a lower chord 11 of the support and another row 13 of segments in an upper chord of the support. Vertical framework is mounted between the chords with ends secured adjacent the segments 15 by the tensioning element. The individual segments and the tensioning elements may be directed to a construction site at the location of use and assembled into rows and the appropriate structural construction.
Abstract: A metal strip and a coil coating process for multilayer coating of an endless metal strip are disclosed in which a curable polymer primer is applied to a flat side of the metal strip with the aid of a roller application in order to form an electrically insulating primer layer, a curable polymer varnish is applied to this primer layer with the aid of a roller application and cured in order to form an electrically insulating varnish layer, and at least one electric conductor layer is printed at least in some areas between the primer layer and the varnish layer. In order to enable a stable and inexpensive electrical functionalization of a metal strip, it is proposed that an electrically polarizable layer be applied to at least some regions of the electric conductor layer and that the electric conductor layer and electrically polarizable layer be applied by means of a wet-on-wet process.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for press hardening sheet steel components in which a blank is detached from a sheet steel band composed of a hardenable steel alloy and the blank is then austenitized, in that it is heated to a temperature greater than Ac3 and is then inserted into a forming tool and formed in the forming tool, and during the forming, is cooled at a speed greater than the critical hardening speed, characterized in that in order to inhibit microcracks of the second type from being produced during the forming and hardening process in the sheet metal blanks that are to be formed, oxygen is supplied adjacent to the positive radii and/or drawing edges; the invention also relates to a device for performing this method.

Abstract: A process for producing a coated electrical steel strip includes application of a pretreatment layer over a first flat side of a rolled electrical steel strip. The layer thickness of the pretreatment layer is in the range from 10 nm to 100 nm, in particular from 20 nm to 50 nm. The rolled electrical steel strip which has been coated with the pretreatment layer is then coated with an insulating lacquer layer over the pretreatment layer. The insulating lacquer layer is applied by roll application using a roll and no deliberate drying and/or crosslinking of the pretreatment layer is carried out after application of the pretreatment layer and before coating with the insulating lacquer layer.

Abstract: A housing arrangement comprising a housing wall with internal cavities which contribute to relieving the pressure in the interior and to increasing the deformation resistance of the housing. A housing of this kind can be designed to be large in volume yet light in weight.
Abstract: A coated sheet metal strip includes a rolled sheet metal strip having a first flat side and a second flat side. A first layer over the first flat side includes a carrier layer. The carrier layer contains a reaction accelerator for an adhesive and stores the reaction accelerator on a physical basis. A second layer, including the adhesive, is applied over the second flat side. The second layer is free of the reaction accelerator or any reaction accelerator.
Abstract: The invention relates to an explosion-proof assembly (22) having an electrically conductive stud (23) made of a material which is not deformable radially. The stud (23) is coaxially surrounded in a central portion (23a) by an electrically insulating, electrically insulating sleeve (30). The sleeve (30) is in turn coaxially surrounded by a connecting portion (41) of a plastically deformable connecting body (40). Plastic deformation of the connecting portion (41) reduces the outer dimension thereof and the connecting portion (41) presses inwardly against the sleeve (30) to form a frictionally engaged form-fitting connection therebetween such that the connecting body (40), the sleeve (30) and the stud (23) form a structural unit with at least one stop surface (26) on the stud (23) resting against a counter stop surface of the sleeve (30).
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semifinished product or part is disclosed in which a metal support embodied as a metal sheet or blank is covered with at least one prepreg containing a thermally cross-linkable thermosetting matrix with endless fibers, the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg is pre-cross-linked by means of heating, and the metal support covered with the pre-cross-linked prepreg is formed into a semifinished product or part by means of deep drawing or stretch deep drawing. In order to enable plastic deformation in fiber-reinforced regions of the metal support, it is proposed that during the pre-cross-linking of the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg, its matrix is transferred into a viscosity state that is higher than its minimum viscosity and prior to reaching its gel point, the prepreg is formed together with the metal support.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a sheet steel component by means of a press hardening or form hardening process, the sheet steel component being produced by virtue of the fact that a sheet bar composed of a dual-phase steel is cold-formed, then heated, and then quenched in a cooling press or a sheet bar composed of a dual-phase steel is heated to a temperature above the austenitization temperature of the highly hardenable steel material and is then formed into the sheet steel component in a single stroke or in a plurality of strokes in a forming and cooling press, wherein a dual-phase steel is used, whose Ac3 value is increased until at the required annealing temperatures, only a partial austenitization of the dual-phase steel takes place so that when loaded into the cooling press, the dual-phase steel has a ferritic matrix, and in addition to this, austenite is present.

Abstract: A housing that can be provided on the inside with a lining, made of an open-pore material and preferably covering at least two sides of the housing, for the reduction of internal explosion pressure. In addition,. or alternatively, a molded body made of the open-pore material, in particular a bonded fiber material, can be arranged in the housing. Methods are used to provide an assembly of an open-pore material and a flameproof body in order to create an assembly that has a higher temperature class and/or a higher flameproofing class than those for which the flameproof body is designed.
