    Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a single motor drives both oil and refrigerant pumps in a refrigeration chiller, the motor and oil pump being disposed in the chiller's oil supply tank and the refrigerant pump being disposed exterior thereof. The refrigerant pump pumps liquid refrigerant to the chiller's compressor section so as to cool the motor by which the compressor is driven while the oil pump pumps oil to chiller locations that require lubrication when the chiller is in operation. A uniquely designed impeller permits low pressure liquid refrigerant in its liquid state to be reliably pumped to a location of use, without significant flashing, from a source location which is at a height only a short distance above the pump inlet. A stand alone refrigerant pump embodiment is also described.

    Abstract: An improved case packer machine, of the type where containers are dropped through grid fingers to an empty case positioned on a lift table. The case packer machine of the present invention includes a flap opener which includes a pair of shoes mounted to an air cylinder. The shoes are extended by the air cylinder to contact and open the leading flap. The lifting table of the present invention is motor driven and controlled to limit the shock loading experienced by the containers as they are positioned within the cases. The lifting table includes a pair spur gears driven by the motor in meshing arrangement with a pair rack gears each mounted to a table and a novel gear guide to maintain proper engagement between the racks and gears and further to provide for backlash adjustment between the gears.

    Abstract: A relay station utilizes the frequency hopping principle for the purpose of protection against intentional interference. Normally, the frequency hopping range available cannot be utilized for the frequency hopping operation because an indispensable minimum signal-to-noise ratio must be observed between the receiving frequency and the transmitting frequency of the relay station. In order to eliminate this disadvantage, the transmitter of the relay station is synchronized to the receiver by way of an interface connection and, with the aid of this synchronization, the desired frequency hopping in the entire available frequency hopping range for the transmitter and the receiver of the relay station can be controlled pursuant to observation of the required minimum signal-to-noise ratio.

    Abstract: An endothermic reaction furnace includes one or more elongated reaction tubes defining therein an endothermic reaction flow path and a combustion flow path for providing heat to drive the endothermic reaction. The combustion flow path is arranged so that fuel and combustion air are separately heated by the heat inside the furnace preferably to significantly above their autoignition temperature before being combined in a combustion zone where they mix, autoignite and burn. The fuel is introduced into the combustion zone by a plurality of tubes having outlet ends arranged to produce annular shrouds of flame around each reaction tube that are directed countercurrent to the endothermic reaction product.

The face sheet includes printed indicia for indicating an attempted delivery. The adhesive includes a laminating adhesive portion and a reusable adhesive portion. The liner ply defines a releasable liner ply portion adjoining a laminated liner ply portion. The releasable liner ply portion is configured to releasably adhere to the reusable adhesive portion while remaining adjoined to the laminated liner ply portion.

The positioning device includes a lower sloped surface in slideable contact with the upper sloped surface of the transfer device. The method also includes the steps of: adjusting the positioning device so that the top surface of the positioning device contacts the compressor; and securing the positioning device to the heat exchanger and to the compressor.

Externally to the coupling, a mechanism is provided which is capable of displacing the stem of the plug axially, so as to bring the plug alternately against the first aperture, or below, at some distance from the latter.

A capacitor is coupled to a radio frequency inlet of the radio frequency discharge tube. The capacitor serves to induce a part of radio frequency energy, introduced into the radio frequency discharge tube, toward a detector, so that the optogalvanic signal is measured, based on the induced signal, after removing radio frequency components from the induced signal by the detector, thereby enabling a measurement of a variation in input radio frequency energy caused by the optogalvanic effect.
