Abstract: A portable light may comprise: a light body defining at least a part of a passage, a light source supported by the light body, a switch for controlling the light source, and a deployable hanger for hanging the light from an object. The deployable hanger may comprise: a spring finger proximate the passage, and a hanger ring having at least first and second flat surfaces disposed in the passage and engaging the spring finger. The spring finger bears against the first flat surface of the hanger ring for biasing the hanger ring to a first position and bears against the second flat surface of the hanger ring for biasing the hanger ring to a second position.
Abstract: An optical diffuser for a light may comprise an optical body having a substantially flat base at one end thereof and a complex lens structure at the opposing end thereof. The complex lens may have a plurality of curved optical surfaces and may produce a beam of light having a non-uniform light intensity. The optical diffuser may be attached to a light by a holder, and the holder may be movable on the light to place the optical diffuser in front of alight source.
Abstract: A personnel tracking and monitoring system and method comprises sets of monitoring devices each including: an electronic device having a unique identifier, a locating device, wireless communication devices communicating via a plurality of protocols, and an imaging device and a biologic monitor device communicating image and biologic data to the electronic device. The unique identifier, the location data and time data are associated with image data and with biologic data and are transmitted wirelessly via portable relay devices to one or more monitoring stations which store same in a database. Data stored in the data base is compared with predetermined criteria and if any predetermined criteria is exceeded, an indication thereof is communicated to the monitoring stations and/or to the electronic device to which such indication relates.

Abstract: A light mountable on a handgun may comprise: a light housing including one or more light sources, a cavity for a source of electrical power, a switch, and a circuit for energizing the light sources. The light housing has complementary parts configured to enclose a part of the handgun and a mounting rail, and may include an access cover that is openable when the light is mounted on a handgun, for placing and removing the source of electrical power. Light sources may include an illumination source and/or an aiming source.
Abstract: A lighting circuit includes a controllable electronic device in series with a power terminal of a controller, wherein operation of a switch causes the controller to maintain the electronic device conductive, whereby the controller then remains powered; and wherein the controller responds to a subsequent operation of the switch to render the electronic device nonconductive, whereby the controller is then unpowered even when electrical power is received. The lighting circuit is suitable for use, e.g., in a portable or other battery powered light.
Abstract: A portable light may comprise: a light housing extending from a light head and defining an envelope line extending along a side thereof, the light housing having a recess in the side thereof inward of the envelope line; a light source supported by the light head and energizable to produce light; a switch for selectively energizing the light source; and a clip disposed in the recess of the light housing and configured so that the clip is substantially in the recess and substantially within the envelope line of the light housing.
Abstract: A battery charger comprises: a housing having at least one cradle; a connector port for receiving at different times electrical plug connectors having different contact configurations; electrical receptacles in the connector port for receiving at different times electrical plug connectors associated with different electrical power supplies, plural electrical receptacles having different contact configurations; the plural electrical receptacles being closely adjacent such that an electrical connector inserted into one electrical receptacle physically prevents an electrical connector from being inserted into the other electrical receptacle; and an electrical circuit coupling electrical power received at the electrical receptacles to the at least one cradle.
