    Abstract: A cable cutting and stripping tool is disclosed. The tool has a pair of pivotally connected levers relatively moveable between open and closed positions. Each lever includes a handle portion and a jaw portion disposed on opposite sides of the pivot. The levers have coacting cable severing blades adapted to sever a cable in a shearing action. The levers further include a pair of coacting shield insulation cutting and stripping cutters. The levers also include a coacting pair of sheath and conductor insulation cutting and stripping cutters. A process of preparing a coaxial cable for attachment of a connector is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A tube bender for bending tubes of different diameters selectively and one at a time is disclosed. The bender has a pair of pivotally connected handles respectively connected to a form wheel and a form shoe. The wheel has a plurality of tube engagement grooves, the grooves each being generally arcuate in cross section in both axial and orthogonal planes of coss section. The shoe includes a plurality of grooves of arcuate cross section in an axial plane. Each of the shoe grooves is complemental with a different and associated one of the wheel grooves. A tube holder is adjustably positioned in fixed relationship with the wheel when a tubular work piece is engaging one of the grooves in a bending operation.

    Abstract: A tube bender including a mandrel component having an arcuately curved recess of at least 180 degrees is disclosed. An anchor connected to the mandrel for securing a tube in the recess. A tube former is rotatably connected to the mandrel. The former has a tube engaging surface for engaging a surface of a tube disposed in and in engagement with the recess. The former and recess are positioned to engage opposite sides of a positioned tube. The mandrel and former are relatively rotatable about an axis that is coaxial with a groove axis. A mandrel handle is connected to the mandrel and a tube former handle is connected to the former. The former handle is rotatable between 90 degree and 180 degree bend positions relative to the former selectively to provide good leverage for 90 degree bends and over 90 degree bends.

    Abstract: The present invention is a hand-held stripping tool. The tool is adapted for cutting an outer sheath of a first electrical cable. Inside the sheath is parallel spaced apart insulation covered wires and a core member containing an uncovered ground wire between the insulation covered wires. The sheath has spaced apart curved sides conforming to the covered wires. The tool has spaced apart first and second jaw members adapted to be pressed together. The jaw members have cutting edges that receive a portion of the first cable along its length. The cutting edges define an opening configured to cut the sheath and the core without significantly cutting the insulation on the wires or the unsheathed ground wire when the jaw members are pressed together to form the opening. The portion of the sheath is then removed in one continuous process.

    Abstract: A plier for inserting and removing retaining rings and other purposes. The plier is convertible for alternately closing and opening of the jaws as the handles are closed. The handles and jaws are rotatable about a pivot shaft. Cams effect movement of the key members between a first position wherein a first key member connects a first handle to a first jaw and a second key member connects a second handle to a first jaw whereby the jaws move inwardly as the handles move inwardly and a second position wherein the first key member connects the first handle to the second jaw and the second key member connects the second handle to the first jaw whereby the jaws move outwardly as the handles are moved inwardly. The plier includes a storage cavity for tips and tip change tools.
