  • Publication number: 20250098800
Abstract: A reusable glove for meat processing plants that is able to be easily donned and doffed, and worn over a liner. A thumb crotch is defined between first sides of the glove's index finger region and thumb region. An imaginary first plane extends generally along the index finger region's first side, beyond the thumb crotch, and through the thumb region. An imaginary second plane oriented at right angles to the first plane extends along a narrowest width of the glove's wrist region and intersects the first plane at an intersection region. An imaginary third plane oriented parallel to the first plane and at right angles to the second plane, passes through narrowest width of the wrist region, and intersects the side of the wrist region at a transition region. The transition region is located outwardly beyond the intersection region and vertically below the thumb crotch.

  • Publication number: 20250089826
Abstract: A glove and method of forming the same is disclosed. The glove includes a wrist region, a palm region, and a plurality of digit regions each having a tip provided at one end of a fingertip region thereof. The tip is remote from the palm region. A texture is provided on at least one tip of the plurality of digit regions. The texture is provided on an exterior of an arcuate surface of the at least one tip, where the arcuate surface is generally orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the digit region having the textured tip. In other embodiments, a texture is also provided on a circumferential surface of the fingertip region of another of the plurality of digit regions. The texture forms a pattern on the tip or the fingertip region. In one instance, the pattern is a sand pattern produced by micro-etching the glove material.

  • Publication number: 20250049156
Abstract: A glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a plurality of digit regions. A gripping zone is provided on one or both of the palm region and wrist region. The gripping zone includes concave indentations formed in the glove material which project into the glove's interior cavity. The glove's circumference extending through the gripping zone is reduced. When performing a task while wearing the glove, frictional contact between the gripping zone and the person's skin tends to resist movement of the palm or wrist region relative to the person's hand. This helps to keep the digit regions of the glove in sufficient contact with the user's fingers and thumb to maintain tactile sensitivity and dexterity, even when the glove is worn for an extended period of time.

  • Patent number: 12178268
Abstract: A glove has a protective member in the thumb-crotch region and includes a textured outer surface. The protective member is configured to protected against slicing done by sharp objects. The textured outer surface enables grip ability in greasy environments. The textured outer surface may be formed via a foaming process during manufacture of the glove. There may be a colored layer between an inner liner and the protective member that establishes a color splash effect in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails.

  • Patent number: 12156555
Abstract: An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, palm region, and at least one digit region having a fingertip region and a remaining portion. A part of a 360° perimeter of the fingertip region is reduced in length relative to the perimeter of the remaining portion of that digit region. The reduced circumference fingertip region is configured to be smaller than the tip of a user's finger or thumb when inserted into the glove. The reduction in the circumference of the fingertip region may include reducing an arcuate length of a pair of opposed sections of the fingertip region. The opposed sections may be sections of the front and rear surfaces of the digit region or opposed sections of the first side surface and second side surface of the digit region.

  • Patent number: 12156553
Abstract: A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

  • Publication number: 20240326299
Abstract: A mold, system, and method of fabricating rubber gloves is disclosed. The mold includes a base, a forearm region, a wrist region, a palm region; and digit regions including a thumb region, an index finger region, a middle finger region, a ring finger region and a little finger region. The thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger regions are configured in a splayed arrangement such that the mold has an appearance of a human hand with the thumb and fingers thereof flexed apart from one another. A plurality of molds are secured to a chain drive by individual mounting assemblies. During fabrication the chain drive moves the molds through liquid nitrile. Bubbles forming in the nitrile as the molds emerge from the liquid tend to pop close to the palm region of the mold because of the splayed configuration of the digit regions.

  • Patent number: 12103205
Abstract: An assembly for use with a glove manufacturing system is provided. There may be an assembly having first and second holders that engage a glove mold. The first and second holders have respective ledges that each engage respective first and second sides of an edge that defines a slot in the glove mold. With the first and second holders coupled to the glove mold, a connector can connect the first and second holders to a support structure to thereby couple the glove mold the support structure. Then, the gloves may be formed through the use of the glove mold.

  • Publication number: 20240295571
Abstract: A self-contained substance detection kit has a container defining a first compartment and a second compartment. There is a wetting agent in the first compartment. There is at least one substrate in the second compartment. The substrate carries a dye that produces a visible color change upon exposure to an opioid or other amine-containing drug. There is a breakable seal between the first compartment and the second compartment. The breakable seal ruptures in response to applying pressure to the first compartment, wherein when the breakable seal is broken or rupture, an aperture is defined that establishes open fluid communication between the first compartment and the second compartment to allow the wetting agent to flow into the second compartment and wet the at least one substrate.

  • Patent number: 12053039
Abstract: A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.
