Abstract: A pair of overhead mirror portions splits a field of view of an imager into first and second subfields of view. An illuminating assembly is energized to illuminate a target. A first part of the imager is exposed to capture return illumination light from the target passing through a horizontal window of a workstation over the first subfield of view, and a second part of the imager is exposed to capture return illumination light from the target passing through the horizontal window over the second subfield of view.
Abstract: A compact, rugged, environmentally-sealed, electrically non-conductive, antenna radome protects an antenna of a handheld radio frequency (RF) identification (RFID) reader operative for scanning RFID tags. A rear housing is directly connected to a front housing, each constituted of an electrically non-conductive material. A support structure in the housings supports the antenna to enable RF signals to be transmitted or received by the antenna forwardly through the housings during scanning without being detuned by electrically conductive materials and electrically conductive fasteners located forwardly of the antenna. A seal environmentally seals the antenna inside the housings.

Abstract: A Bluetooth master device is paired with a Bluetooth slave device that is selected from a group of Bluetooth slave devices that are in Bluetooth-discoverable range with the Bluetooth master device. The master device establishes with the slave devices unauthenticated communications, each containing a Bluetooth device address of the master device. The slave devices receive from the master device the Bluetooth device address. The selected slave device recognizes a manual action manually performed with the selected slave device by a user. The selected slave device initiates a pairing request, in response to recognition of the manual action, and communicates with the master device at the received Bluetooth device address.
