  • Patent number: 9143475
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a unified messaging proxy and a method thereof. The unified messaging proxy advantageously enables a user to be communicatively coupled with the same account on a messaging platform using multiple end user devices at the same time, allowing the user to read messages on a first end user device and send messages from a second end user device. The unified messaging proxy manages the multiple end user devices and intercepts all messages to and from the multiple end user devices and the messaging platform. From its perspective, the messaging platform only sees a single client messaging application.

  • Patent number: 9026657
Abstract: The delay in provisioning telecommunication services and equipment via a network is reduced significantly by performing substantially all of the provisioning processes sequentially on a single server. That is, through the counterintuitive approach of using sequential processing on a single server rather than parallel processing on a plurality of servers, the time required to provision telecommunication services and equipment is reduced. Preferably, telecommunication services and equipment are provisioned through a network by classifying the orders to be provisioned as two types. When the order is of a first type, the provisioning processes are performed on a set of servers (shared), and when the order is of a second type, substantially all of the provisioning processes are performed on a single server.

  • Patent number: 8959604
Abstract: A client device is coupled with a server. The client device prompts a user to enter a number associated with a mobile device, which can be the client device, and generates data including a code. The code is typically hidden from the user when the code is generated and is saved on the client device. The client device transmits the number entered by the user and the code generated by the client device to the server, which sends a message, including the code, to the mobile device associated with the number. The client device prompts the user to enter the code included in the message. Validity of the number is based on one or more factors, including the accuracy of the code entered by the user. In addition, validity of the number can also be based on whether the second user input was entered within a predetermined time limit.

  • Publication number: 20150039656
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to an enterprise address management system. In the enterprise address management system, addresses are imported and consolidated from external sources and stored in a database. The addresses are continuously updated from the same or different external sources while a history for each address is maintained to allow for retrieval and use of previous information. The history of each address is updated as a corresponding address transitions through an address life cycle as defined by a subscriber. The address life cycle typically is represented by a state model. In some embodiments, the enterprise address management system allows each subscriber to define and configure its own address life cycle state model and to control the flow of addresses through that life cycle.

  • Patent number: 8943428
Abstract: A system for and method of field mapping utilizing a user interface allows efficient and accurate mapping of fields on two or more devices. Fields that match between a first device and a second device are automatically mapped. For the fields that do not match, the user interface provides a list of available fields on the second device, so that the user can select where to map the field from the list of available fields. In some embodiments, an intermediate device such as a server contains the fields and data to be mapped and transferred to the second device.

  • Publication number: 20150026525
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to server controlled adaptive back off for overload protection. The server controls a back off period for each request, which indicates a retry time of when a request should be resent to the server. This back off approach relies on the server since the server has much more accurate information available on which to make back off decisions. The server changes the retry time based on how busy it is and its ability to handle the current load and/or its downstream dependent systems. This back off approach increases server stability during a very high load by spreading the load out over a longer time period. The server is able to turn a traffic spike into a constant load, which is easier and more efficient for the server to handle.

  • Publication number: 20140347500
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to classification of documents. A user is able to take a snapshot of a document using a smart device. The photo of the document is matched to one or more existing templates. The one or more existing templates are locally stored on the smart device. If the document in the photo is recognized based on pattern matching, then the photo is tagged with an existing classification. The tagged photo can be locally stored on the smart device, uploaded to and backed up in a cloud, or both. The user is able to perform a search for a particular document based on key words rather than to visually review all photos.

  • Publication number: 20140325561
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to linking a viewing device, such as a TV, to a user's account in a server for purposes of sharing content via the TV. A viewing application on the TV allows the TV to couple with the server, which generates a pin to be displayed on the TV. Upon the user entering the pin that is displayed on the TV in a mobile application of a mobile device, the server links the TV to the account that the mobile device is linked to. The user shares content on the TV by sending commands from the mobile device to the server, which renders a screen on the TV already being viewed by the audience. Each command goes through the server rather than peer to peer. Any content that is stored in the cloud can be shared even if it is not on the mobile device.
