Abstract: Methods to convert the resolution of digital images have been achieved. The methods invented support the decrease or the increase of the resolution of digital images, even enlargement in one direction and decimation in the other direction. The methods invented are applicable for any color space used. In case of decimation the method invented combines an interpolation of source pixels to calculate the color values of the destination pixels and omitting some rows of source pixels. A linear interpolation method is used to get a fast result of the interpolation. In case of an enlargement of a digital image in one or two directions the method invented combines the calculation of the color values of the destination pixels by an interpolation of the nearest source pixels with an extrapolation of the destination pixels being close to the edge of the image according to the scale of the conversion of resolution in one or two directions.
Abstract: A holder for a beverage container, for installation in a motor vehicle has a receiver open to a top for insertion of a beverage container, guide unit, a support which is guided by the guide unit so as to be movable back and forth between a lowered position and a raised position, the support in the raised position providing a beverage container inserted into the receiver with a lateral support above the receiver, an unlockable locking device which holds the support in the lowered position, and a locking device which holds the support in the raised position.
Abstract: A method and system for printing of gray scale images utilizes raster image data. A page is divided into tiles in a two dimensional grid. Tiles are checked for the presence of dither cells for generating gray scale values. Tiles without dither cells are compressed for transmission while tiles having dither cells are not compressed.
Abstract: A closure assembly for a vehicle includes a hook movable between locked and unlocked positions. An actuator is connected to the hook and is linearly movable to move the hook between the locked and unlocked positions. First and second rotatable gears are engaged with one another such that either gear rotates as the other gear rotates. First and second levers are respectively connected between the gears and the actuator. The levers move as the gears rotate in response to the first gear rotating in a first rotary direction and thereby cause the actuator to move linearly in a first direction to thereby move the hook to the locked position. The levers move as the gears rotate in response to the first gear rotating in a second rotary direction and thereby cause the actuator to move linearly in a second direction to thereby move the hook to the unlocked position.
Abstract: To arrange a probe needle in a reproducible manner, ensure reliable contact-connection of the probe needle and ensure that the probe needle is held securely even at high temperatures or test forces, a probe receptacle is provided for mounting a probe for testing semiconductor components. The probe has a probe needle and an essentially prismatic probe shaft. The probe receptacle comprises a base having a socket opening to receive the prismatic probe shaft, surrounded by a base wall. The base wall comprises at least two base wall segments which can be moved toward one another. A probe holder arm having such a probe receptacle, and test apparatus having at least one probe which has such a probe receptacle are also provided.

Abstract: A gas bag module (10) for a vehicle occupant restraint device includes a gas generator (14) for filling a gas bag (16), and a gas conduit device arranged inside the module. The gas conduit device forces a predetermined, uniform flow direction at least on a portion of the gas emerging from the gas generator (14).
Abstract: In a method and device to separate toner material and air from a toner material-air mixture, and first operating phase at toner material-air mixture is supplied to a filter so that air flows through the filter in a first direction. In a second operating phase, the flow of air through the filter in a first direction is interrupted such that toner material deposited on the filter is loosened. In a second operating phase, air flows through the filter in a direction approximately opposite to the first direction. Also in a method device for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner material is introduced into at least one bucket chamber rotatably arranged in an opening at a bottom of a toner reservoir. The bucket chamber has a paddle wheel which seals the opening of the toner reservoir. As the paddlewheel rotates, toner material in the bucket chamber is conveyed into a region. The toner material conveyed from the paddlewheel is further conveyed with a screw conveyor.

Abstract: A texturizing system for texturizing electronic representations of objects includes a texture library, a texture engine and a graphical user interface module. A source texture may be stored in the library with an associated unique identifier. The source texture may be manipulated with the graphical user interface module to form a complex texture. Manipulations to form the complex texture may be captured and stored in the texture library as a transformation procedure with a unique identifier. The unique identifier of either the complex texture or the source texture may be associated with a surface of an electronic representation of an image. When the electronic representation is displayed, the transformation procedure is performed and the surface associated with the transformation procedure may be texturized.

Abstract: A sampling rate conversion system reduces the signal processing burdens carried by cellular phones, headsets, and other electronic devices. Because the system consumes fewer resources to convert between signal sampling rates, the system may significantly reduce processing time and resource requirements in the device. As a result, the device may instead devote resources to performing other useful tasks, such as interacting with the user through a graphical user interface and performing selected processing tasks.
